Foods to avoid

Would be great to have a thread where people can point out the foods that make them worse, and why they think it is the case.
Sometimes it is easier to chose a diet by elimination.

I will start, I get worse after eating:

-some Salmon, and this is because Farm Salmon are fed some coloring substance that happens to inhibit the enzyme (5ar).

  • dark chocolate makes me worse, and chocolate in general

  • pumpkin and pumpkin based products (this is a potential explanation again: ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC4017725/ )

  • blackberries, I am not sure why…

  • in general, I don’t recommend non-organic food, and eating protein bars and all that was typically associated with worsening of symptoms…

please let me know what makes you worse. Maybe some do make me worse and I just did not happen to notice it yet. We’ll all benefit from this.

One night of drinking beer or alcohol sets me back for weeks.

If you get worse after eating then i would do a colon test. I was also heavily effected by certain types of food.

I get the worst reaction from sugar in any form (except most fruits) and coffee. So i removed sugar from diet and reduced coffee to one/two cups per day.

can you tell me more about your experience? You did a colonoscopy and found what? …

Thanks

Over the years I’ve eliminated gluten, caffeine, and dairy from my diet. I always felt worse after eating/drinking these.

-peanut butter
-coffee
-ice cream
-salmon
-nutella

Also;
-coconut
-dont eat too much red meat
-alcohol
-red bull or other caffeine drink

either pumpkin seeds or coconut meat which I ate one night ruined my ability to smell

oh crap a bunch of you guys have listed stuff that I eat all the time!
Can someone please elaborate on why we should avoid salmon, red meat and coconut?
For the past few months I’ve been eating salmon about twice a week. I also eat red meat regularly.

I have parasites and i am now on a program to remover them. Also had no mucus in my gut because of that.

For several weeks I was feeling pretty great, but since last week I’ve sort of crashed and lost a lot of progress. I’ve been following a strict exercise and diet regime for a couple of months, the only thing I’ve added to my diet recently is cod fish every morning (been increasing my protein intake to bulk up), ground turkey (to replace red meat which I think I’ve been eating too much of) and white rice for nights I carb backload.
Could cod, turkey or white rice be responsible for my crash? Or is it all just a coincidence?

food doesnt matter at all.
