I’ve seen mention of proper diet, but wondering if any of you have noticed a seemingly direct association with food…
I’ll explain…
I used this stupid pill for nearly 10 years, never had an issue. Tough to say when exactly the sides began, but some years after I started taking it. I used to drink a lot of alcohol, and I think for a while it was masking the symptoms, I knew they were there but a drink would sort of cover things up - so I kept drinking, and drinking… I stopped drinking 2.5 yrs ago, months later the fog was still there. That’s when you notice problems and cannot blame them on boos anymore. I still woke up feeling hungover every day.
Not thinking that pro had anything to do with it, I started down a 2 year journey of trying to resolve with various doctors. Equilibrium, pre-diabetic, Candida, Adrenal fatigue, Thyroid, brain tumor, among other things were suggested and I was treated/checked for all, though now I know the real culprit.
What is relevant here is, when I was treated for Candida, (it’s basically an impossibly strict diet of raw foods), a few days into it I was walking down the street and it literally felt like the sky opened up, I had clarity, the filter was gone, I felt like jumping in the air. Hours later I ate some spare ribs with bbq sauce and soon I was back in the funk. Can anyone relate?
I didn’t have Candida of course, but I assume a good diet, no junk, nothing processed, lay off whites, allows the body to rebuild.
These days my mornings are better, but it still depends on what I eat the night before. I sometimes snack late, chocolate, junk - and I’ll never really wake up the next day. Not that things are perfect even if I stick to my diet. For instance, breakfast of oatmeal, or a couple of eggs and I’m ok, but it seems right around lunchtime I start to feel it come on, then whatever I eat makes me sleepy & foggy 1/2 hour later. Now, the more I stick to this the better I feel. I’ve had a couple of good days recently from beginning to end so I’m hopeful.
So the point of all this is, try to stick to the right diet to ease symptoms. I know that’s been said, but if you’re not doing that, it may help more than you think.
And my question is, does anyone else have this? Where the brain fog symptoms blatantly kick-in after a meal?
