My doctor tells me my testosterone is fine, based on my first blood test. The newest test has low testosterone on one measure, but the others are normal. I have high bilirubin. I have low Vitamin D, for which I am currently taking medicine.
I took the test for 3A-Androstanediol-G at a second clinic. It was the same morning, and ninety minutes after the one earlier in the day.

Thx

Missing some important tests like the other sex hormones. Estradiol, prolactin, progesterone, cortisol, transcortin.

Can you get some more testing?

Hows your energy?

I have the results for prolactin above. Prolactin: 5.2 (4.0 - 15.2)

On those other hormones you listed, testosterone was the only hormone my doctor wanted to test for. He made a concession for these ones that I got. He figures that since it has been almost four years since I took Fin that I have little need for blood work, though I suppose most of us disagree.

My energy is fine, same as always. My member intro on symptoms and issues is here. viewtopic.php?f=3&t=6333

So I’m wondering what I can do. Do the numbers above point to any trouble, or is this just a normal condition of being over 40? The high bilirubin maybe, or do I need to try and gain weight or something? I read here about herbs, like damiana, but there’s thirty or so herbs that I could try based on internet soothsaying. Should different guys try different solutions based on their numbers?

Hi there,

Did you see a general practitioner or endocrinologist? Just looking at the results you posted, it seems that while your total T is normal, your SHBG is very high, which would explain why the Free T is low. Maybe see an Endo to discuss ways to lower your SHBG?

All the best
