first blood tests

First values I got today from the endo. However, I have a second panel of tests which I will post soon.

TSH 1,0 mIU/l (0.4-3.8)
FT4 14 pmol/l 14.0 (12-22)
FT3 5,9 pmol/l (3.4-6.8)
FSH 5.7 mU/ml (1.5-9.3)
LH 5.9 mU/ml (4.6-9.4)
estradiol-17beta 23.0 pg/ml (foll 19-183, lut 58-21)
Testo 5.6 µg/l (2.8-8)
SHBG 24.0 nmol/l (18-114)
Testo/SHBG 23 (4-32)
DHT 433 ng/l (94-476)

DHEA-S 374 (70-310)

3AdiolG 13 ng/dl (3,4-22); measured seperately december 09. no medication intake

So according to the lab that performed the tests it is indicated to have a cortisol profile performed due to my elevated DHEA-S levels.

Does anybody has comments on the other hormones. It looks pretty much normal, but maybe someone has comparable values?

I try to get the 3-adiolG test.
Anybody has any ideas or comparable values?
Appreciate any comments.
Best wishes

It seems totally okay to me. What sides do you have? How long did you take finasteride and how long are you off?

Hi,

I took fin ~7 years ago for ~ 1.5 years (started with 1mg later took 0.5mg) but have never really recovered from it. my side effects are low to absent libido and erectile dysfunction.
Since my hormone profile so far looks ok, I more and more assume something neurological is causing all the shit.
However, I have more appointments to come the next weeks with urologists to get checked from the physical side and to see if there is any obvious organ damage.

Best regards

they could face massive lawsuits and possibly lose the case if this drug indeed did cause these side effects which were not on the label. This is a very unethical company, probably the worse in the pharmeceutical industry.

In my opinion, I think this drug has affected our nerves…Initially it affects your hormone profiel…that starts to recover, but it is to my understanding that our nervous system is very sensitive, and should be researched further.

Everyone should also get ADIOL 3G levels checked as well…I know I need too…and DHT (tho some of us on here have high DHT levels, but still have side effects).

Could it be Finasteride destroyed our ability to produce sufficient dopamine? Will we have to take dopamine agonists for the rest of our lives? That is a question that is in the air right now…I will let the best doctor I can find decide that fate to me…If it will help me recover, then so be it…

-Been off propecia for 7 years, and have not recovered, but am optimistic on a recovery…will not go away and give Merck satisfaction for the pain that they have given me-
