FinPus blood test results

I don’t have any pre-results or any results from the time i was using finasteride, only results that was taken when i was a year of the thing.

S-FSH 4.8 U/l (2-10)
S-LH 6.4 U/l (1-9)
S-Testo 31.2 nmol/l (9-38)

I don’t if those are in some finnish form or something? So tell me if you can’t get any of those, I’ll try to convert them to some other forms, if i can.

Good test levels like myself.

EDIT- Sorry i mistook FSH for TSH.

Good levels but you need a much more comprehensive set of bloods than that mate.

Wish my FSH was in that range :frowning:

Get some glasses colin

Whoops!

Alright, I finally got some more comprehensive tests done!
Here they are:

Testo-V: 70.7 pmol/l (31-94)
Testo: 40.3 nmol/l (10-38) *
FSH: 6.9 U/l (2-10)
LH: 5.3 U/l (1-9)
CRP-VT: under 8 mg/l (under 10)
SHBG: 71 nmol/l (14-62) *
E2: 0.15 nmol/l (under 0.13) *
PRL: 246 mU/l (no range given  )
DHEAS: 5.3 umol/l (2.0-16.0)
IGF1: 25.9 nmol/l (15-45)
IGFBP3: 3.5 mg/l (3.5-7.7)
D-1,25(vitamin-D): 170 pmol/l (50-163) *
Korsol: 0.58 umol/l (0.15-0.65)

So my testosterone levels have gone up even more sky high from the last time i took them, which was two years ago. And my E2 seems to be high too, which I kind of was expecting, from the similiar problems with Mens Rea and others. Even though that’s not the sensitive E2, which I guess it should be, but the doctor told me they don’t the sensitive testing at the public healt care centers here. Also my vitamin-D is sky high??

So even when I’m not taking any supplements or any medication for this thing, there seems to be some action in my body? My body’s trying to balance itself or something?

So, I got these taken free by my very nice diabetes doctor (who’s been my doctor for years) and now I think the next step would be to maybe get some ideas from you guys according to these lab test results and also we’ve also finally found a doctor here in finland, with this other finnish guy here at the forum, who has had many patients with this problem and who actually believes that the cause is finasteride. So that’s a step forward and I think i’m gonna go meet this doctor, but of course i’m not expecting miracle cure from him, but i do hope he could have some info that could me moving forward with this thing.

So any suggestions, thoughts, ideas are welcome!

Man those are some seriously high testosterone levels. The first guy ive seen with high than me, although your range is slightly higher.

Your estrogen, IMO, isn’t a problem. 150 pmol/L. You could take it down a little but i doubt it would make a big difference. I speak from personal experience.

You have high, out of range testosterone. Estrogen is converted from testosterone at an approximate ratio of 0.3%. If you have out of range high testostoerone your estrogen will be higher as a result. Your ratio isn’t bad at all. I would actually say it’s good.

Next step:

Get your SHBG tested. Full thyroid profile: TSH, Free T3, Free T4, Reverse T3
Adrenals: Cortisol, progesterone and perhaps aldosterone.

DHEA-S is low.

Edit- I see you do have high SHBG. You’ll need the other tests to perhaps get a clue why. It may or may not be a problem.

Yeah I was hoping to get a response from you Mens Rea, since I’ve read much of your posts and seem to have a lot similarities.
So yeah, that “Korsol” is actually cortisol, sorry it was just in finnish format or something. Any ideas on what that level means?
The DHEAS is in range but you think it’s pretty low for my age? Has anyone any experience in trying to boost that?

Ah, ok. Your “Korsol” level reads good. Just what i would expect. Was this a fasting sample? (i.e. has you eaten 12 hours prior to blood that morning?). You could also look for a pm cortisol test. I could do with the same, in fact.

Anyway, as for DHEAS supplementation. I doubt you’ll get much expertise on this forum. I wasn’t advocating this per se i noted it as a point of reference for us to look at a potential imbalance throughout the applicable pathways.

Your hormones, by and large, read quite well but more adrenal (progesterone readings etc) related bloods and thyroid (free t3, free t4 and rT3) would give us a clearer picture.

Yeah they always require that you don’t eat 8 hours prior to the tests.

Hmm, yeah I gotta ask if they even do progesterone or free t3 or t4 or rT3 at the public health centre. I should probably get sensitive E2 done too and I know they don’t do that. Gonna be really expensive to do these elsewhere.

I’m not a big believer in the sensitive E2 test. If you have very low E2 then yeah, but if you’ve high e2 on the regular test you’ve clearly got high E2. The expense of the assay test would be unwarranted IMO. At least at this stage.

As for the others, yeah, most of us find resistence here. Do your best.
