You’d think Merck’s change in product label + increased media attention might warrant a note under “side effects” or a subheading like “Persistent Side Effects”. Sounds like you’ve made some effort to fix this situation, so you know better.
Do you mean you would like to put something directly under the side effects heading and before the sub-headings? That could probably be arranged but I personally don’t think this would be a very significant addition.
Admittedly, the article has not been updated to include Merck’s admission of the post-marketing reports. I haven’t fully thought about exactly how I would like to phrase this, given the ambiguity of the label change. It does create some credibility for PFS sufferers, but Merck still does not admit there to be a definite causal relationship. I feel that including this information on Wikipedia would lessen the reality that Merck is very likely covering up the significance of our adverse event reports.
what about create the argument “PFS” on wiki?

We need someone who can update the wikipedia page in Spanish and French. They are very incomplete, with no side effects section or risk of persistent effects. I updated the portuguese page (which was basically Merck s propaganda), and added the section ‘possibility of persistent sexual side effects’. When i tried to include Propeciahelp as a source, it was blocked, so i included it without the link, and it worked. I am so glad that now when you search google in portuguese “finasterida efeitos colaterais” the first result that comes up is wikipedia with the description ‘possibility of persistent sexual side effects’. I think this really can make a difference in someone’s decision of taking it or not. I d never have touched this pill if i had read that it was possible to have permanent sides. We need to cover all the possibilities, like those who may search google only in spanish or french. Even if you only translate the finasteride wiki page in english it will be a great upgrade.

I’ve just added two lines about side effects. Maybe i should give more info, and link dr. irwing’s study. I think tomorrow i’ll try to do it. For now we have to see if the info i’ve just written doesn’t get deleted.

It looks like someone has added more information about persistent side effects of finasteride in the wikipedia’s spanish version. I wrote seven lines about side effects about two or three weeks ago, and now someone has added much more info about persistent sides. Good job whoever he is.
