I used Finasteride for 2.5 years. I stopped recently as I planned for Kids.
Some where I am tensed about its impact on Male offspring. Does Finasteride effect Y chromosome and effect male embriyo.
Does male children born without any effects (or) does Finasteride effect Y sperms totally.
Can you please answer and remove my tension from me.

at this point we don’t know if you can have issues having kids or not, by having PFS. epigenetic changes to AR can propagate to the offspring, but i dont remember now iffrom mom’s side or also from dad’s side…
definetely try to understand if you have or not pfs, wait for the studies, and give yourself enough time to regenerate the sperm and clean fin from the system.
I have been concerned about this as well. A PFS user here just PMed me yesterday saying he has had 4 kids and all are normal.
But how cN we know they are normal, until theybe hit puberty?
We don’t know 100%, but if they have a silenced AR gene or a 5ar issue, then the males would be born with hermaphrodite-like genitals from what I understand and be like a Kleinfelters or AIS baby.
What if you had a little girl? cannot withstand this, sorry admins.
