Moreover, finasteride enhanced both maximal increase of dopamine and its duration elicited by a single injection of the anxiogenic drug FG 7142. These results suggest that endogenous allopregnanolone may modulate the excitatory response of cortical dopaminergic neurons to stressful and anxiogenic stimuli.”

Do you think finasteride and MDMA usage = brain death?

I made ecstasy 5 times (???) in early 2005 after commencing finasteride…Suffered endless headaches/brain fog from Nov 2005.

I also had massive hormonal problems that i discovered in 2009.

Wondered whether finasteride, lowering allopregnanolone, set me up for brain trauma during MDMA use?

Who knows, maybe? most sufferers on this forum were healthy, young guys that did not use drugs and so there is no point in you dwelling on it.

I took ecstasy for the first time when i would have been ‘withdrawing’ from finasteride. Maybe it screwed me up, i will never know. I have also taken MDMA with PFS and a few days after i experienced a recovery in my symptoms.
