The reason I don’t agree with the guy saying DHT isn’t necessary for sex drive, is because everyone’s bodies different. One guy not needing DHT doesn’t mean anything really because we’re all programmed differently. We all have differing levels when our body is in homeostasis, and some of us need more of certain hormones/neurotransmitters than others do to function right. Just like how some guys can take finasteride for years without side affects, and some guys get life altering side affects after 2 or 3 pills.
This guy who your talking to, is he on the board? I’d be curious to read his story to find out all the details. I always thought a training regime of some kind was necessary for recovery, but it’s gotta be the right exercises. When I use to push weights at the gym, my body would crash and I would get really dark bags under my eyes, and my body would shutdown even from working out 3-4 times a week. I think this was from high cortisol levels, as I had them checked during this time and they were high. I wanna start agin doing some cardio and maybe get into something like kickboxing or mma. I would think this kind of training would have a very positive affect on androgen levels.
