Finally got some progress via clomid/daily cialis/PRP/shockwave therapy

Hey all, I posted here about 8 years ago when I first crashed. I took saw palmetto/beta sitosterol extract for abut 5-6 days and went impotent afterwards. I had every sexual issue in the book: low ejaculate, hard flacid, shrunken penis, Severe ED, you name it, I had it. I also had the mental issues with depression, brain fog, disconnect from brain.

I initially did a clomid restart, and got a little better afterwards, but gave up on myself for the next 5 or so years and resorted to drug use to mask my problems. 3 years ago, I felt a desire to really kick this, so I started up with the clomid restarts again. I did 3 different short term restarts for a month each time. I usually took 25 mg a day for the first week, then tapered off from there. Even though the progress seemed so small, I did get slightly better after each one. Although you have to wait 3 months for the clomid to clear your system to really notice the benefits.

My last restart ended about a year ago now. I had bloods checked 3 months after and my testoerone went back down to 350-400. I considered the restart a failure and went on about my daily life. But in the last 6 months I magically started to feel better. I felt mental clarity, I wasn’t as depressed, my anxiety was a lot less, and I had a natural sex drive that kicked in from time to time. My ED was still there but I could get decent erections more often than I use to.

Fast forward to 2 weeks ago I got my levels checked again, and to my surprise, my testosterone was now at 530, and my LH was quite high. Can’t remember exactly where it was, but it was the high end of the range. This made sense because it matched the way I was feeling. The only thing I have done is the last 3-4 months Is I added the daily cialis pill. I did read a study where they found daily cialis to lower estrogen in men. So is it possible that the daily cialis is causing the shift in my levels? Or was it the clomid that finally caused my system to reboot? Whatever it was I’m making good progress and I’m very happy.

Even though my hormones are no longer the serious issue they once were, I still have been dealing with some ED. Not severe mind you, but my erections were still only 80 percent and refectory period was longer than it should be.

Because the mental issues were no longer a serious issue for me, I figured that there was a physical problem with the plumbing. 10 days ago, I saw a doctor and got PRP injections done, and one session of gainswave shockwave therapy. eventhough lots of guys won’t see results for 8-12 weeks, I had noticed an incredible shift in my erectile capability already. My flacid penis is bigger and more full, my erections are harder, and my erections are going back to the full size they were before my crash. Keep in mind I’m still taking the daily cialis, however I decided to take a break for 2 days to see what happened, and with no cialis in my system I achieved a full on hard erection.

It’s a little to early to say that is a total cure, but the fact that my erections are doing this well, it’s led me to believe that a big part of my problems were actually physical. I think the penile tissue changes I experienced after SP had to do with the muscles around the prostate, and the pelvic floor, which I know has been widely discussed already. The nerves and the blood vessels in the penis must have been affected by that also, and over years of having those issues that will only get worse and the penile tissue will continue to degrade.

I’m going to wait a few months to see how long these results stick around, and from there make my next plan of attack. I know some guys who have had major erectile problems after prostate surgery, have benefited big time from shockwave therapy, so my plan is to get one more series of PRP injections in the next 6 months, followed by one shockwave session per week for 6-10 weeks. They say if you do one shockwave session per week for multiple weeks, it will provide more stable long term results so that’s my plan. I’m hoping this may provide me with the missing piece of the puzzle and rejuvenate my penis back to where it needs to be to function normally all the time. One thing I will note as well, is that after the PRP injections, my doctor has me using a vacuum device to help stimulate blood flow in the area. BUT and this is an important one, if you decide to use such a device, DO NOT over do it. I pumped at too high a pressure and my penis went numb and dead for 3 days. I scared the shit out of myself. Luckily, my penis went back to normal after a 3 day break. However, if it’s used at a low pressure, every other day it can yield many benefits for flacid size and erection quality. If anyone wants to know more about that, I can email a guide that was sent to me by a professional on how to use a vacuum device properly to avoid penile damage.

Again, I can’t say I’m out of the woods at this point, but I wanted to share my results with you guys, to hopefully discuss with other men who have done this and to track my results over the long term. I’m hoping this may help some guys who have beat the mental issues, but have the lingering sexual issues that they can’t figure out. If anyone has had a similar experience with the PRP injections/shockwave therapy, id love to discuss further. I feel for every single person on this forum. It’s absolute hell that we’re all going through, and i hope that maybe these treatments will provide some lasting results for those of us with the long term sexual issues. Keep your head up, let’s help each other out.

Beautiful post men.
Please, keep us updated, every week would be nice.
It is also important to knpw about you even having not so good results.

So great to hear. Do you mind saying if you had sensitivity issues/anorgasmia? Just curious if you have experienced changes in that area as well.

I recently tried prp and SW as well. I had 6 straight weeks of SW and 1 PRP. I go back for a follow up doppler in 2 weeks but I cant say Im showing any improvement. 4 days after my prp, things felt good but that quickly subsided. Im also on my third month of clomid and have been taking nightly viagra for 2 months. Do you think I just need to give it more time? This is such a nightmare to deal with. The worst symptom is the narrowing of my penis, both flaccid and erect. It hasnt improved. Im losing hope and Im starting to feel like an implant is inevitable for me. My scarring is only mild but it has made everything just bad enough to be unbearable. Im glad to read youre having success with this treatment though. Im praying that once the clomid kicks in, I might show some improvement alongside the viagra. Ill continue SW if my doppler shows the least bit of improvement.

Most definitely I’ll keep you posted on my results. Being as it only been 11 days since the treatments, let’s see what happens over the long term

So initially I did lose most of my sensitivity, but about a month or so after that I got severely sensitive, and got bad premature ejaculation. Sometimes it would be 30-60 seconds. That has been going on for 8 years straight basically. The only way I could last even a few minutes was if I incorporated some alcohol. Which for some reason, I found to help me in the last few years. I would get a high sex drive and manage pretty good erections even while hammered drunk. But if I tried while I was sober, I would be limp.

Hey man is this your first run of clomid? For me, I didn’t get any of the benefit at all, until the clomid was out of my system. My erections were straight awful on clomid, likely from the high SHBG or high estradiol levels while on. I was a complete mess emotionally on it too. I did 3 different restarts of a month each over the last 3 years. I couldn’t handle more than a month or I’d lose my mind.

About 3 months after clomid treatment is when I would see the biggest benefit. What I’m trying to figure out is was it the fact that I did multiple restarts the reason My test levels are getting better? Or was it just time? Or possibly the daily cialis? Could be a combination of all of them.

Do you smoke cigarettes? Over the last 3 years I’ve gone through periods where I would smoke because I’m stressed out, and while I was on the cigarettes, I would lose a lot of size. My girth would shrivel up into nothing. Getting off those was a big factor in gaining the size back for me.

I didn’t actually notice consistent gains in the size department until after the PRP/gainswave treatment in the last 11 days, so I’m hoping those results stick around. Question for you, who did you get your PRP/shockwave treatments done by? I know there’s website “priapusshot.com” and the the only doctors that are properly trained in PRP are listed on that website. They’ve all taken training from Dr Charles Runnels, who invented the P shot. This might be information you already know, But making sure the doctor who did yours is on there, would be important to know. Apparently there’s a number of clinics around the world, who aren’t even trained in PRP, performing these treatments. They aren’t concentrating it correctly, and it’s basically not effective for the patient for that reason.

Have you ever tried the daily cialis? Because of its long half life, I prefer it to viagra. It’s 5 Mg daily. I’ve been doing that for 3-4 months now, so I can’t help but think that’s another reason I’m seeing improvements. Might be worth trying. Also, are you using a vacuum pump after your PRP treatment? I found the day after I used that device, my flacid and erect size was back to what it use to be. Just have to be careful not to over do it, or you can do tissue damage. I did that, and scared myself to death, but luckily I healed up within a few days.

Yes, its my first time on clomid. Its weird because Ive been off propecia since 2004 but only recently (This year) had the shrinkage symptom. I would imagine it to be borderline impossible for me to go this long without more degradation if there was scarring from the start.

Im getting my prp and SW with goldstein in SD. Hes not on that site but he did offer before and after doppler images which show that his patients have seen improvement. I think I will ask him if I can switch to cialis. He first told me that it doesnt matter because the purpose is to produce nocturnal erections but Id have more peace of mind if I was on a longer lasting drug. Viagra sometimes works and sometimes doesnt but it never feels good. Its a very mechanical erection, without the sensation that normally comes with erections. I expect the same from cialis. Honestly, I would happily take a decreased sensation if it meant getting full erections. I can also bend the erections that viagra produce. They have very a slight upward arc which is normal for me but i can reverse that curve if i try. So its not a strong erection at all but at least there is bloodflow. Im not too optimistic at this point. I feel like i should have seen improvements by now. Like I said, the only time I saw gains was a few days after my prp but i think that prp just temporarily engorges you. Its supposed to work synergistically with the SW but that remains to be seen.

I would definitely recommend trying the daily cialis. Might not like it but it’s worth a shot anyway. How has your experience been with Goldstein? I ask because my experience was very negative. I actually saw him right after my initial crash, and he told me my symptoms werent at all related to the saw palmetto, and kept trying to tell me I needed to have the revascularization surgery because I had a blocked artery from bike riding, even though I almost never rode bikes. Not to mention that surgery had an average 10-20 percent success rate, and cost upwards of 20 thousand dollars. Seemed like he was just after the money and didn’t really care about me or my symptoms, just wanted to line his pockets.

When he did the prp did he extract a large amount of blood initially? And did he spin it multiple times? Was it golden coloured when he put it back in you or was it more red?

It was definitely golden/clear colored. They put it through a centrifuge twice I believe. I think overall Im happy with Goldstein. Everything he has recommended has been standard (diagnostic doppler, SW for 6 sessions, prp, viagra) so I cant say that I feel like hes just after my money. When I first met with him he went out of his way to schedule time with me to discuss my symptoms and was prepared to use his lunch break since there was a scheduling conflict which was my fault (long story). What I will say is that the other urologist that works there always seemed to have a more optimistic view of my situation. For example, when she was looking at my doppler images, she emphasized that I only have “SOME” scarring. But when Goldstein came in, he made it seem way worse as he pointed out the scarring. Honestly, from the doppler, it looked relatively homogenous to me. I couldnt spot the scarring. He acknowledged that it was mild scarring but that it was diffuse and I needed shockwave. But given my state, I do believe there to be scarring. The other urologist also said that my sensation was off but not by much. Dr Goldstein made it sound like my sensation was a big problem. Still, overall, it seems like he cares. I just think (and I could definitely be way wrong here) that he makes things seem worse than they are. I hope that he just errs on the side of caution and not drama.

The one thing that has me pretty agitated (to say the least) though is that I had spoken to him over the phone before. He looked over my labs, told me they seemed fine and after, I started to feel like i was improving so I never saw him. When I saw him recently, he told me that my testosterone should be higher (my numbers were very similar this 2nd time). I also explained my ED and hard flaccid and that I wasnt always getting morning wood, over the phone when we first spoke, but at no time did he stress that I should get in soon to get on a daily PED routine. I cant say for sure if it would have made a difference but it seemed like a logical thing to emphasize if he thought that I could be getting scarring from lack of nighttime erections. I feel like its irresponsible to not explain that to your prospective patients, especially since not even the urologists I saw seemed to understand the importance of nighttime erections. So when I wished he had been more vocal, he wasnt. This condition is extremely deceptive. One day, you can be convinced that youre cured and the next day, feel as if youre forever broken. If I was a urologist, I would make a habit of asking my patients if theyre getting morning wood. Its fucking absurd that its 2019 and we’re still now discovering the role of nocturnal erections. What makes me more angry than Merck are all the run-of-the-mill urologists I saw who had the opportunity to help me but instead said “If this is from propecia, theres nothing we can do”. Goldstein is a specialist and Im glad hes in my corner now but Ill never understand why he didnt insist on getting me treated sooner. The good news is that Shock wave is very new so I can sleep well knowing that I wouldnt have had the opportunity to try it prior to this year anyway.

Sorry if you answered this already but did you have any confirmed scarring? I think without scarring, the shrinkage wouldnt be nearly as stubborn.

Amazing man! So would you say you restored your loss of erect penis girth/length back to pre pfs 100%?

  • Did you have any curve/bends, did they recovered too?
  • Does orgasms feels great again, and is your semen volume back to normal? Thanks much.

At this point, my erect length is definitely back to what it was before my crash yup. I believe using the vacuum pump along with the prp is restoring this, and could be an important factor here, as a vacuum device has been used my many guys for size gains. Consistency is key and I think to keep the progress, this has to become a regular routine thing, and maybe down the line it can be discontinued

Orgasms feel great. No issues there. Semen volume is pretty close to what I remember it being. To be honest it’s been so long I forget what a normal volume is, but it’s not watery and clear like it was after I crashed, and looks fairly normal to what I remember.

There is still a slight bend, and I’m not sure that this will ever go away to be honest, although maybe with more prp/shockwave treatments this will get better. Using the vacuum device should also help this.

The vacuum device when used correctly is an impotent part of this puzzle I think. Hopefully maybe this will help straighten it and the bend will go away down the road. It’s all so early to tell yet, but I’ll have to see what happens in the long term with these treatments

I have not been checked for that to Be honest. I think there would have to be some form of scar tissue there. I did get a slight bend in my penis after my body crashed and it stayed this way for the past 8 plus years, so I’m sure there is some buildup from everything atrophying and changing. I’m kind of hoping that whatever is going on can be permanently solved with continual treatments. I read somewhere that a guy who had prostate surgery, got 12 shockwave treatments and regained normal function after that. And even though our cases are different from that, I’m sure some of our Issues have to do with the prostate and the muscles/nerves surrounding it. Especially considering some guys who get prostate surgery are basically completely impotent afterwards. I wonder though, did he do the treatments right after the surgery before he suffered any long term atrophy? I wanna find wherever I saw that and read the fine details on it.

Since our bodies have been fucked for so many years, our penile tissue has probably atrophied quite a bit over time, so to me it seems that we would need a fair amount of treatments to get where we need to be. At the end of the day, the only thing we can lose is money by trying it, and what’s life with a dead dick anyway? I don’t care how much money I have to drop on this im going all in to see if a permanent fix is possible. To me a permanent fix is getting off of al cialis/viagra and functioning without all that. although that might be a stretch but we shall see.

Do you use a vacuum pump? This sex specialist sent me a pumping guide instructing me how to properly use it for permanent gains and function. It seems to me that’s a big part of the puzzle, because it stretches the tissue and helps to regenerate. I got one because they say if you use it after PRP treatments it dan raise the effectiveness of it long term.

I will look into a pump. It sounds like it might have some validity to it but no, I didnt use one after my prp treatment. It wasnt mentioned. Youve definitely given me some hope so thank you so much for posting your experience. I will keep trying till Ive exhausted every option. Thanks for the advice! We will beat this one way or another.

I believe we will one day too man! I would most definitely look into a pump. Just make sure you find one with a proper pressure gauge on it, And make sure it has a proper release valve on it. I would stay away from the bathmate as I’ve heard horror stories of guys who overpump and damage their penis. If Your pump has a proper pressure gauge, and you keep it running on low pressure, then you won’t have those issues. I actually overpumped a little bit once, but it healed up in a few days.

If you want to, PM me your email, and I’ll forward you the email I got from a sex specialist, and it has all the info you’ll ever need about how to properly use one, and which ones to buy. They say that PRP and shockwave treatments yield better results when a pump is used after the Procedure

Hey, sounds like we’re in nearly the same position.

Crashed a few years ago from SP. things were real rough for a while, but once the physical/mental stuff started clearing up after lots of experimenting, I was able to improve on all fronts and most recently I’ve found myself happy with my sex life after playing with cialis/Shockwave.

Right now I’m off everything and I’ve been off everything for the last few months, wanted to see how my body handled it. still got a pretty good baseline that hovers around 80-90%. My sleep is fucked lately because of my work but that’s normal. I think I would be even higher with good sleep.

With a combination of SW/cialis I am 110% sexually. I am accepting of my situation because it’s not that bad anymore. I think that’s the trick of getting over the last bit of recovery.

Why have you stopped with SW??
Are they not recommened to be used continously over time?

Great to hear man! How many shockwave treatments have you done? Do you use a vacuum pump at all? Are you on a continuos shockwave regimen? Did you get prp done as well?

Most definitely. My doctor said that some younger guys have success from the first PRP/shockwave combo so he said well start with that and see what happens over 8-12 weeks and then decide from there the next plan of action. I plan to go back in 2-3 months and get another PRP/shockwave session done, and then get one shockwave treatment done per week for 6-10 weeks after that. Hopefully that along with a vacuum pump/cialis will support long term healing, and then see if I’m able to get off of the pump/cialis in a years time. Even if I had to take a daily cialis forever but function 100 percent all the time long term, I would be okay with that.
