Fasting??

Have you guys followed through on your fasting or what?

Heart palpitations from fasting??

I’ve just completed a 21-day water only fast and have been re-feeding on raw food (fruit + veggies, nuts and seeds) for the past 10 days and plan to keep this diet for the next 6 months. (wish me luck)

While I was fasting I had spontaneous erections and even masturbated a few times WITHOUT the use of visual stimulus (like from computer etc.) I haven’t done this since I was a teenager. My erections were “full” although the sensitivity wasn’t really that great. It did feel good to feel my whole cock in my hand though…not this skinny, tight and numb peice that it usually is. My immediate benefits thus far are:

Sleeping better
Mind is clearer, thoughts flow smoother
Anxiety is almost nothing
increased energy
able to get more things done through out the day work wise.(probably because of all of the above)

Right now though, my libido is still low and my cock is responding how is usually has been, which is not that great. Granted, nutrional therapy takes months to accumulate health and this is by no means a quick fix. I will keep everyone posted with further progress, if any.

I have also started taking Toco-8 and quercetin today with my morning green juice.

I believe quercetin increases finasteride side effects b/c since it uses the same enzymes finasteride uses to metabolize, finasteride increases in the serum and thereby increases potential for side effects.

Well, seeing as I don’t have any finasteride in my system to be metabolized it shouldn’t be a problem. I’ve been off of the drug for 17 months.

In regards to your believe that humans can only go two weeks without food, you’re not alone. That is the belief of most people who are not educated in the practice and science of water fasting. It was my belief as well before I undertook it. I am not about to go into the very involved process of fasting because one, I don’t feel like typing all that much or explaining it to anyone. And two, you would be best served by doing your own research and learning why and how it works rather then having it dished out by me. You can fast SAFELY for as long as you have reserves (fat) Just like a bear. It really is quite amazing the things I’ve learned and seen at these clinics. But, it takes business away from doctors and the FDA, so it remains a mysterious almost unbelievable form of healing. If you want the truth to anything, all you have to do is follow the money, and you will have it.

About the kidneys and liver: When you fast there is some increased strain initially on these organs because of the toxic burden that is dumped on them. This is why you have to stop all drugs and clean up your diet BEFORE you fast, to minimise this. Either way it is way less damaging then eating crap and taking pharmaceutical drugs. It is natural and in most cases 100% safe.

you continue to improve or are staying the same now?

It really is too early to be seeing any miraculous results, if any, yet. I do feel much, much more relaxed and calm and my head is running smoother. My thoughts aren’t jumbled and scattered. My anxiety is pretty much gone. I am also starting to sleep again. These things are HUGE for me. With increased sleep will come deeper healing. The more I heal the better I will sleep and so on. Sleep, as you know, is crucial for healing and rebuilding. Sexually right now, I am the same. The real results of the fast will take months to show up, although I am extremely pleased with the early results. At least I can work now, easily. I don’t have to worry about not being mentally able to function. This was my main issue and while sex and libido is important, when you can’t think or function mentally, that was worse for me. So, I will take this one month at a time and see what happens. It can only get better from here. The worst is definitely behind me.

I have also started a supplement protocol along with my raw food diet. It is as follows:

Morning: Quercetin 500mgs, toco-8, endo amp, DIM 150mgs

Lunch: Quercetin 500mgs

Dinner: Quercetin 500mgs, DIM 150mgs

This is it supplement wise for the next two months.

  1. I’m assuming water fasting is the same thing as fasting. When I first heard water fasting, I was under the impression fasters down water to fill them up, although on second thought this is a bad idea as it could lead to water intoxication.

  2. Take any electrolytes with the fast (calcium, potassium, magnesium, sodium)? I know they have bottled water with electrolyes in it, and I’m pretty sure bottled water innately has electrolyes in it. Does this affect the detox?

  3. I’m still unclear how fasting affects the dihydrofinasteride molecule (finasteride bound tightly to 5-alpha-reductase II enzyme)? Are these molecules in the blood or the prostate or what?

No, you take nothing in but pure water and rest.

I don’t believe fasting effects any molecules directly, rather it allows your body to clear itself of any toxins that are present and basically resets your nervous system. The benefits of the fast can only be made apparent when following a bioligically appropriate diet that aids in rebuilding and continued detoxing. This is not a short term fix, but a long term solution. Do some research or even call some fasting centers and explain your situation. See what they say.

Water, if bottled/pure/distilled, does not have any electrolytes or act as an electrolyte. H2O has a neutral charge (0), and its a classic covalent compound, which does not create electric current as the p orbital is completely filled.

That’s probably the point of the water fast.

So on a chemical level, since you’re familar with this, is there any reason to believe a water fast and incidentally “detoxifying organs like the liver” positively affects the dihydrofinasteride molecule, hormones, or the prostate gland?

When you say “toxins”, I’m going to assume pharamaceuticals like propecia are said toxins.

I didn’t think that needed any clarification. ALL pharmaceutical medications are toxic to the body. ALL of them. Synthetic chemicals have no place inside human beings. I wish my logic would have won out over vanity, but it didn’t.

Maybe you should specify next time. I have no interest in quibbling with you – I just want to rid of Propecia side effects.
