Okay so i thought my hairline has been receeding so i went to my doctor and he told me to take finasteride 1mg every day. after a couple of weeks i started to feel down and anxious for no reason. this progressed and got worse untill i eventually had a panick attack and had to go home to my mum who lives a couple of hours away. it was my mum who proposed that the finasteride could have been the cause which i had never thought of as all i intially found was that sexual side effects were basically all that could go wrong. The next morning i did my research and found a bunch of people having the same problem as me. after my panick attack it took me 9 days to fully recover… 2 days later i decided to try again and took a quarter of a tablet to see if it really was the finasteride causing me anxiety. The next morning all these feeling had come back and i almost had another panick attack. It has now been 6 days since having that 1/4 tablet and im still feeling quite anxious and worrying about a lot of things. my heartbeat feels like it is always beating really hard and irregular and i am constantly having muscle twitching in the muscles in my back which have never really happened too frequently before. Now i know the drug is definately causing this i AM NEVER EVER TAKING THIS TABLET AGAIN. i have never ever felt like this in my entire life and i honestly feel horrible. My question is, do you expect me to feel back to normal in a few days like i did the first time? what exactly is causing me to feel like this? what does the drug do to my hormones other then stopping DHT that is making me feel so bad? and do you have any methods in making me feel better in the mean time? thank you so much for reading and for any help you can provide me! just knowing will put me at peace with this whole dilemma.

Go buy the recommended amino acids to fix your brain chemistry so you can calm down.
L-Theanine, 5HTP, Gaba, Acetyl L-Carnitine, Tyrosine, Choline/Inositol. This will be $50 or more but well worth it. You can taper off after 1-2 weeks. The best time to take them is probably before bed. And some say it’s not advisable to take them all at once (meaning on the same day) since they all deal with seratonin, you don’t want to “fry” your brain. My first symptom of pfs was that it destroyed my ability to REM (dream) sleep so I felt like the living dead, only with insane anxiety from the moment I woke up in the morning. By the way try to get the powdered form if possible (usually that’s online only) because capsules are hard to digest and can give you reactions if pfs damaged your digestion. But that’s mostly for when you’re on a regiment and taking lots (like 5, 10, 15) supplements all at once, but you can always open the capsule and poor out the contents into a cup of water.

Go buy Sorghum grains (there are several from all over the world) and flour to bring DHT back in. Boron also boosts this, to save money you can buy those all-in-one minerals that the vitamin companies make, as long as it has boron in the list. Do not use Creatine to boost dht since your kidneys are already strained from the Finasteride. It’s not worth the risk, but if you do drink plenty of water. Begin to eat very clean, it will help lower the anxiety and prevent attacks. Stick to greens especially juicing salads and vegetables. Use soup and decaf tea to warm up. Do not masturbate because it will throw off your psychological state much more now than when you were fine.
