Experienced all symptoms , recovered

Hi there, I took proscar 0,5 mg 3 times with 5 days interval between each dose , 20 Apr , 25 and 30 April 2013
. Quit cold turkey, After 10 days days experienced dull pain in scrotum, loss of morning woods, severe loss of libido, really bad depression, blurred vision , genital anaesthezia, cremaster muscle overactivity. And also noticed puffy breasts. Reason why I stopped taking finasterid was severe depression which occured literally the next day after starting that poison and also weakened morning erections . I was extremely horny prior taking finasterid despite my age (49 ) and being a smoker so I was scared to continue taking it. I can now confirm that I have recovered fully, no signs at all, I am in my pre finasterid state , but it took 1 year ! Treatment , life style change which helped a lot - heavy weight liftings, ( every other day 30 min, walking A LOT ! ) excessive estrogen control (plenty of brocolli, chamomile,) , prostate massage, ginseng and patience. First 4 months was really extremely bad, then improvements started very slowly with flat periods following progress in improvement. I did not mentioned very severe premature ejaculation, which also has gone now. My thoughts about Finasterid : it is a POISON. My advice for all who read this - do not even touch it !

My guess would be because he’s recommended all the normal treatments you see on here a lot that don’t really do much for many of us. He might have been one of the people that would have recovered over this time frame regardless of what he tried.

I agree, none of this stuff has done anything for me. I’ve tried tons of vitamins, fasting, eating healthy, amino acids, cabergoline, maca, tribulus, cialis and heavy lifting. In the three years I’ve suffered my libido hasn’t moved from 0%.

I was thinking of trying soy or something to lower the AR receptor but a bunch of people recommend against it. My testosterone has gotten to nearly 1000. The complexity of how to address it is still unclear, but I don’t have a doubt in a mind that all our issues are ones of androgens binding.

I’m in the same boat, raised my testosterone levels from around 400 to 800 through weight lifting and cardio and noticed no difference.

It’s such an awful feeling. I just know the answer lies in the receptors. It’s the only thing that makes sense.

Why no one studies at this particular problem? Or do they? We just need an androgen receptor heal. I don’t know is there any possible way for it. But i think scientists could do it.
