exercise and sleep

Any of you have drastically improved sleep from a strenuous workout? Pre-fin I would do p90x and sleep like a baby. Just dead to the world for hours, so nice. Any of you get benefits to sleep from a heavy training day? Or do you wake up in 3-5 hours feeling like shit?

mcibofh heavy workouts with heavy weights make me sleep worse and I wake up earlier but light training with sit-ups, chin-ups and push-ups is very beneficial for sleep.

I did a light workout yesterday and I feel like shit today. This is the most evil thing someone can inflict on a human being. Merck needs to pay for this. I would agree to the settlement being every man in the company has to take this drug and all their male children. If they argued against it then… You know why. It’s dangerous and shouldn’t be used for cosmetic reasons ever. Fuck you Merck! I will not go away silently. You will pay for this! God knows what you have done and he will deliver his judgment on you. Keep the money! It’s worthless. Smug bitches!

Got some good sleep yesterday and had some energy. Did some normal chores that wouldn’t have phased me one bit in the past. Had sex twice. Then only got 5 hours of sleep last night and been totally tired and sore all day today. This is total shit, got depressed as fuck and started crying at work. Had to slip out the back and go home. If I die from sleeping pills or something else I want it on record that I was fine before taking fin.

Not insomnia, depression, ect… Fucking Fin. caused all this shit period.

The workout never seemed to affect my sleep significantly in either a negative or positive way. My sleep quality has always been relatively stable (good or bad), and quite rarely variable/unstable. After a few months into PFS I’ve stopped my trainings as I felt like total crap after physical activities. My body needed several days to restore from a medium-intensity training and I seemed to gain only fat no matter how I worked out and what I ate.

Water fasting could greatly restore my body physically. It restored my ability to have a refreshing long (2-3 hour) workout and to gain muscle. The impact of water fasting on my physical abilities is incredible! At the same time it greatly improved the length and quality of my sleep although I got this improvement only after about 2 weeks after stopping the water fast and it is possible that good sleep is not the the direct result of the water fasting but the trainings and diet that followed the water fast…

I experienced that too. Everytime 1-2 weeks after I fasted, the sleep starts to improve, it is soo cool

Bad sleep is a root cause for many other problems. Eliminating it solves a lot of problems (fatigue, brainfog, your general ability to regenerate during sleep, …). I assume that good sleep is a sign of improved brain and/or improved chemistry that is not a big surprise - I’ve seen some several sites that discuss the fasting related chemical changes in the brain and the resulting speedup in brain/nerve/nerve-connection regeneration.

I can sleep for even 10 hours but i dont know if its ‘real’ sleep. Still brain fog though.

We will probably never know the real root causes of these problems. Maybe brain fog can exists even with good sleep, I don’t know. For me it went away as my sleep has improved. In my first terrible two years into PFS I couldn’t sleep more than 1-3 hours and I haven’t had a single dream in those years. As my sleep has improved I started to have a few dreams, and now I have a lot of them. People say if you don’t dream you probably don’t enter REM sleep that is a big problem even if you can sleep for 10 hours. Only good quality sleep counts, your sleep is good if you wake up refreshed.

I sleep, dream, have nocturnal erections, but wake up feeling weaker each passing day.

Maybe it’s time to “starve yourself to death”. I’m also starting my second round after eating all the remaining eggs from the fridge. However I don’t anymore have fat and I’m a bit afraid to lose the muscle I worked for in the last month. I’m also curious how long can I go without 10+ kilos of fat store and if I can go only for shorter period of time then how the effectiveness compares to a longer fast…
