Excess hair shedding from the back of the head

This may or may not be anything PFS related but if people knew anything further about this issue then it would help me .

I’m a bit concerned as hair is coming out fairly excess (not in clumps but between 3-5 strands everytime I run my hand through the area ) It’s from a very odd place though - the back of the head, pony tail area or I guess the ‘donor’ area as they call it .
I don’t use any hair loss products anymore or supplements (used pumpkin seed oil till about 2 months ago) the only thing I use is the laser comb 3 times a week , but to be honest I never bothered running it back there because I assumed hair loss would never affect that area. I heard about a girl losing hair from that area once and it was because she had tried some new diet and wasn’t getting the right nutrients but nothings really changed in my diet .

I first noticed it a week ago and my family just look at me like I’m crazy when I tell them or they try and say “well it’s obviously that laser thing you run over your head ‘ but I honestly don’t think it’s anything to do with the laser comb (as mentioned I barely run it over that area of my head) plus it’s supposed to help your hair and I’ve been using it for a year with no problems .

Has anyone else experienced loss from that area? Could it just be a telogen effluvium I’m going through for a phase?

Jesus christ, stop worrying too much, 3-5 hairs is even less than normal. On average you lose over a 100 hairs each day you know? Unless you are losing clumps of hairs you are probably not even experiencing hair loss to begin with. You are definitely needlessly obsessing over your hair.

Well thanks for the honest response - I appreciate it !

Yes, this is most definitely telogen effluvium caused by finasteride.
I had the same thing for the first 2-3 months before it stopped.
