Emotions & Heart Rate

I know a lot of people have addressed the way that finasteride seems to make you emotionally dull… but has anyone noticed a very static heart rate? I feel like regardless of what’s going on (with the exception of physical exertion and bad anxiety) my heart rate does not fluctuate much. If I get startled, my heart doesn’t start pounding. When I should be excited, it does not start pounding. The most recent example that got me thinking about this was a bad dream that I had this morning. I woke in the middle of a bad dream, and my heart rate was just… steady. Can anyone relate? Am I being absurd?

I don’t think you’re being absurd.

I’ve noticed that my heart doesn’t beat very fast. It was measured to be in the low 50s once. The person doing the measurement asked me if I was a long distance runner. I do exercise a lot, but I don’t think it would warrant a heart rate that low.

I know exactly what you feel…i used to be like that!!! it got a lot better now…though i dont feel like my emotional heart beat response is just like what it used to be.

I have just posted in the iodine post about the same thing our metabolic rate has gone to shit, thats why people feel better on T3. Look at these posts and listen to the Crisler podcasts very interesting
