During Recovery, attempt to rest or stimulate the penis?

Am I better off resting the penis during recovery or attempting to stimulate it often? I am experiencing all of the symptoms on here, and feel as if the “wires” between my brain and penis were cut…

So am I better off “staying off of it”, so to speak, or am I better off actively trying to stimulate myself?

any help is much appreciated…

I’d say if you are no longer getting nocturnal/spontaneous/morning erections, and your penis is in a constantly flaccid state, then yes – you should try to stimulate it as much as possible, to help provide fresh oxygenated blood flow to prevent possible tissue fibrosis/collagen deposits.

See the studies at the top of the “Sexual Side Effects” section for more info on this, and some strategies for penile rehabilitation therapy.

Also, get your blood tested as outlined on this site (Hormones & Bloodtests section), because if your problems are due to low levels of Testosterone or other imbalances, you will need to try and correct those… obviously the sooner, the better.

Would you say getting fully erect 2-3 times a day is enough to prevent fibrosis?

That I don’t know, I’m not a doctor or urologist. You should consult a Uro about such questions, and do some Googling on it.

But from my own personal experience, before Fin I recall having at least 4 or 5 spontaneous erections throughout the day, and about as many during the night, and upon waking would have a rock hard stiffy.

I would think anything that could approximate what you remember used to having would be a good first step. Also consider investigating the use of L-Arginine and Horny Goat Weed as natural supplements to help facilitate this easier, in the meantime.

I have an appointment with a urologist in a week. I’ll ask and let you know what he says. I’ve been trying to keep it hard for about 20 mins a day. 10 in the morning and 10 at night.

You may want to try using the supplement known as Aspire36 if you want to give yourself erections, it’s easy to be skeptical of any OTC product of this sort but believe me it does work…
