Dry and itchy skin

Am 36 in a month. As simple as that : have been taking 1/5 proscar for 1 year and a half (very good results) when after 1 year (beside to decreased libido and difficulty to maintain an erection) I begun to feel my skin itchy, particularly in the back and then arms and abdomen. Always have had a very oily and greasy skin (with some acne tenedency) since I was a child. Never suffered of any dry skin condition. Never. Took some blood tests : I had the beta-estradiol as high as 211 (range 7-43) and particularly low testo levels (even if still in range).
Visited some dermatologists who did not fully understood my condition and never had any clue of what was the reason below that condition. Stopped taking the med, and after 2 months my skin has become as it was in the past. My theory (not very far from what have happened in my view) is that low testo levels and increased estradiol levels simply changed my skin’s sebogenesis with those results.
This is confirmed by the fact that some dermatologists use the contraceptive pill (eg DIANE) to cure acne in females. Changing hormones levels means changing the sebogenesis as well.
I have never seen such condition reported in the leaflet but this is my own experience. Watch out.

Did you develop dry eyes also?

No, just the skin.

Well since most contraceptive pill are infact progesterone wich is a very powerfull anti dht hormone it makes sence that they carry the same sideeffects as propecia and saw palmetto etc.
