If anyone lives in Orlando Florida and is able to attend this event, bring a tape recorder to record Shippen’s Post Propecia Syndrome treatment protocols!!
Unrelated to the above topics but here is a video of Dr. Shippen speaking, in general, about Testosterone deficiencies, erectile dysfunction, and some drugs that cause this.
I’m finishing up a cycle of high dose TRT/HcG/L dopa. Absolutely zero improvement in any areas. I’m only guessing but I think he’ll suggest I go off TRT/HcG. I’m gonna do another round of labs, send them off to both docs and see if either have any ideas. Get the feeling I’m running out of options.
He does, but with my last e2 he wasnt concerned. I don’t think e2 is an issue in my case. Obviously on TRT its higher. Hopefully I’ll have the chance to get to the lab Saturday. Hard to keep up with work/life/PFS symptoms as you all know.
Yeah it is. I’m always going over to the doctors my co-workers assume im a hypochondriac lol.
Shippin basically uses all the main hormonal drugs from what i read, Enden.
It is worrying that people are never on here talking about their full recoveries. But i guess if a lot of them weren’t on to complain there’s even less chance they’ll source out PH to talk about recovery.
Both Shippen and Jacobs purport some success. Jacobs really didn’t go into percentages and keep in mind he didnt take his first PFS patient until November 2009. Jacobs is the eternal optimist though. I believe Shippen said about 25% he gets to “normal” and maybe 40% he can help “somewhat”. Just my opinion here, but I think those he gets to normal don’t suffer from whatever the underlying issue we all have here. I think maybe they had something non Fin related or were one of the people who get better naturally over time. For the moment the value of seeing a PFS doc is more for the greater good. I think it adds to the likelyhood of further research, which is really what our aim is at this point.
