Does your original prescribing doctor know?

I’ve been searching the web for other standpoints and discussions on the topic of long term side effects.

One blog, in particular, I read was talking about how shocking the report of Dr. Irwig’s study was from the perspective of Hair Restoration Physicians.

From Alan J. Bauman M.D.

The point of my thread isn’t to hate on Dr. Bauman, but rather to understand his standpoint. Its impossible to know how many are affected by PFS. What I’m looking to find out here, however, is how many of us stopped taking the drug and let our original prescribing physician know of the persistent side effects? I find it hard to believe that Dr. Bauman prescribed Propecia as often as he did and didn’t have a case of PFS. Could that simply be chalked up the fact that no one ever told him?

Personally, I never did let my doctor that prescribed Propecia to me that these side effects happened. Simply put, I was embarrassed about them. I moved and saw another doctor several years later when I decided to confront the sides.

My question is, of everyone here, did you or did you not let the doctor who prescribed Propecia/Proscar to you that you had the sides?
