Is there any study that connects finasteride intake with low vitamin D?? Some guys from here have low D levels and in my case, diagnosed with osteoporosis, although I have not measued its level in blood, the doctor gave me doses of calcium and 25 hidrox vit D.
Could you please give me light at this point??
Thanks
I had a distinct Vitamin D deficiency while on fin.
I think the fact that I was a very heavy drinker for a while influenced this, as did a period of time when I saw little sunlight. However, the deficiency persisted after I had stopped drinking, and I have always drank a lot of milk.
I think now, considering other’s testimonies, that fin may have played a significant role.
It may have. Although I had perfect vitamin D and I was on fin for over four years.
My vitamin D is very low and I get plenty of sun. I’ve started taking vitamin D supplements to see if that helps.
I would like to know the same!
My theory: DHT in the skin decreases which makes the skin dry and thinn (like old people) -> this leads to less capacity to produce vitamin D (like old people)…
