2 years into PFS, and I still deal with s**t sleep. This was also my first symptom before my crash. I’m amazed when a few guys here say they never experienced bad sleep or any degree of insomnia, because it seems like such a common thread.
I have my sleep dialed in.
Take 10mg of cortef (or hisone from alldaychemist) and a tablespoon of raw honey or ,even better, coconut oil before bed.
You can also mess with 5htp but it had weird effects on me.
Isn’t Cortef for Addison’s disease?
My sleep is horrible. I tried a bunch of stuff. Right now I’m using 5mg Ambian. I get a lot more sleep but I still feel like total garbage. I just got some ambian cr 12.5mg. I’m afraid to try it this weekend. I’m home by myself with kids. If I kick off don’t want them to have to deal that. Not sure if id feel a lot worse otherwise. At least sleep gives me a break from this. Others are doing well on Remeron but reported same issues. Get sleep but still feel low energy. Non-restorative sleep.
my sleep pattern is pretty good now!
Went through insomnia for 2-3 weeks after crashing, slowly came right over the next year. Now 4 years off my sleep is fine, although quite often I wake up tired. This is probably the only solid improvement I have had post fin.
Never had sleep problems myself.
I thought mine was too. While my sleep never got back to pre-PFS levels, it had been at least manageable for the last 6-to-9 months. Still had a couple wake-ups a night, but could piece together 6.5 to 7 hrs most nights and felt pretty good most days. However, these past 2-3 weeks, I’ve returned to sleep patterns closer to my crash, where I wake up feeling wide awake only after an hour or two of sleep.
Taking an OTC sleep aid, which helps a little, but I just hate the idea of relying on meds to sleep.
