doctor

has any of you gone to an endocrinologist and after hormonal test have they said anything about what could be a treatment to reverse the damages done, i am aware that this kind of doctors try to correct endocrine problem.

Check doctors section for list of Docs to contact. Dr Shippen, Crisler and Goldstein are some who believe our stories.

im thinking in going to an endo in my metro area since the doctros listed are located in a different state i hope the doctor believes me about pos-fin issues, has the doctors describe give you any hope in treatments that can help with the side effects and possible recuperation or just wait for them to go away, also how are the normal hormonal range (like test, estr and other levels) in males in their 20’s

Most people with exprerience will tell you that endocrinologits are a waste of time for this stuff. Dead-endos, is a good way to put it. I’ve only seen one, but I swore that would be the last. The only time I’ve nearly left a dr’s office in tears. Looked at my labs, said everything is in range, that I should look “elsewhere” (i.e. it’s all my imagination, he strongly hinted without even having the balls to say it outright). He actually said there’s no way I have a Testosterone problem, because he noticed – no joke – “you have hair on your face.” Pretty farcical. Fucking clown.

Osteopaths and anti-aging docs improve your chances. Actually, I’m sure not all endos are useless, it’s just a combination of mine and many, many other people’s reported experiences.

Yes those 3 doctors, specifically Crisler and Shippen, are known for trying various treatments which may or may not help. Since nobody knows the exact reasons for our issues (it very well may be beyond hormones, ie decreased androgen receptor binding or activity, decreased 5AR2 activity, or something else entirely), nobody has a one-size-fits-all magic cure, yet. Our issue still needs to be investigated and researched by scientists to figure out what the exact problems are that are causing our persistent symptoms.

That’s not to say that things don’t improve with time, either – lots of guys report decreased brain fog the longer they’ve been off the drug, and improvements in erectile function.

But if you get bloodwork done and it shows a bunch of stuff out of range, certainly getting things under control hormonally may make a major difference, especially if you have low Testosterone like a lot of guys here.

I’d also recommend you write Dr Irwig with your story as he is actively looking to research people with post-Finasteride sexual dysfunction: propeciahelp.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=2173
