hi,i’ve been to a doc this morning and I said my situation post finasteride…
he said that probably finasteride in me an people suffering from its sideeffects touched something we already were prepared to … but he really believe me,about all my simptoms !

…than he looked my tests and found something related about my adrenals (the only one i had was ALDOSTERONE ) and prescribed me a list of blood tests to do and said to call him back when i’ve them done and will see what is going on about adrenals and if it is not enought he said that we will search every possible cause of my problems .

I thing this is a good point to start coming out from this shit, at least now i’m followed by a doc and not by myself doing experiments on my body without control.

Since you mention Aldosterone and adrenals as an investigation point, you might want to check this out and maybe print/bring with you as possible area to investigate.

these are the tests he prescribed me:

acth corticotropina+cortisol+cortisol urine+deidroepiandrosterone+deidroepiandosterone solfato(dea-s)+delta4+androstenedione+aldosterone profilo:clinostatismo+aldosterone profilo:ortostatismo+somatomedina c .

i ll print the study and give him.

i did urine test too…

today i went to another doc and said her (she’s a friend)about adrenals theory and like the other one doc said me that who suffers from adrenals has high pressure…than guess what… i have high pressure…i hope this is due to adrenals glands problems… now i’m waiting my results and let u all know .(next week)

SOLONJK HAD TESTS ABOUT HIS ADRENALS, DID ANYONE ELSE HAD THEM ?..LET ME KNOW JUST CAUSE I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW IF IT COULD BE A POINT TO START THE CURE…

hi,like i said…i have 2 doctors by me.

1 is neurological and he ll give me xyrem…he has to call me back (hope in this week)

2 is andrologic doc…

today i went to andrologic doc with blood tests about adrenal glands (he said me to do that) and tests are all in range than i was ready to fight but when i got in he saw the results and said that i have some problems…he said some results also if in ranges are not good for a young man like me (i’m 26)…so he prescribed me a therapy with SYNACTHEN.

he said to take 1 intramuscle each week…

HOPE IT COULD HELP TO MAKE ME IMPROVE.
…if this doesn’t work he 'll try some more and xyrem too…

What results were not good? Can you post test results with ranges?

Doc said p-acth is not good so high for a guy like me so he prescribed me SYNACTHEN 1 per week…it’s acth iniection but…i have a question if i already have high acth why he gave me more acth…???

looking my results he said that we have to boost ipophisys to produce more hormones that now there are not enought…i dn’t know…somebody can tell me if this could be a right way…

hello everybody… yestarday it was the 1 day on my new med…and…
I dn’t still want to say nothing to delude me and nobody but wdf!!!

i think u all shoul do the bloodtest i wrote above …

yestarday and today (still not spontaneous erections) but,so strong and more easy to get!!! …and more horny .

what is acth
and this medication , do you need to take for the rest of your life or only a short while and your body will bring itself back in balance?

i don’t know what acth is exactlydo some googling about acth to understand better…i did .
(something related to adrenals)…

my doc said me to do the bloodtests written above,i did them and he said that acth result is not good than he prescribed me SYNACTHEN medicine saying me to take 1 dose per week for 6 weeks .NOT FOR LIFE !!! he said that from the 2 or 3 injection i’ ll fell better and the body ‘ll correct by itself the problems coming from this cause and i could resolve everything just with this drug(i hope).
if it’ s not enought to resolve my problems,he 'll help me more with something different… yestarday was the 1 dose and i felt it…really! … doc said that this drug boosts ipophisys ( i dn’t know the spelling of this word) and corrects my imbalance…hoping he 's right…
but it’s not for life, just 6 injection …

I had the Synacthen test back in August 2007, it is a synthetic verson of ACTH injected as a test to see if the body responds by producing enough Cortisol and the Adrenal glands are working OK. As far I am aware it is not a cure for anything.
I was told I responded OK to the test, however I continue with the same problems.
I also had the Saliva tests for the Adrenals which showed I produced far too much cortisol early in the morning and very little through the day. It also shows very high Androstnedione but low Testosterone. This is contributing to my problem of muscle wasting to the body.

did u use SYNACTHEN med for many times?..or just did the test?

I don’t know, doc said me to try it,i do… i’ll let u know if it can cure something … for now i’ve seen improvements in just 1 day …
and if from ur saliva u saw that,than problems could be related to drenals.

…and everybody on this forum has been told to be fine and ok,but i can see nobody is,so for sure u are not,and probably ur adrenals too.

i don’t know i just try it and see what happen,i’ve nothing to loose.

It was just injected with Synacthen for the test. I did’nt know you could take it like a medication.
I look forward to hearing how you get on.

I’m a stupid…after 3 years ,tonight I remember that I have a testosterone test done before propecia…it is just about total testosterone,FT3,FT4,not about free testosterone etc …do you think it could be useful to understand?..

androstenedione 3,35 ng/ml RANGE 0,7-2,5

Italy, this test is for Androstenedione (precursor to Testosterone), not Aldosterone (since you state it’s an Aldosterone test).
