I ask this purely out of curiosity. Do any of you guys know anyone that takes finasteride or do any member of your family take finasteride?
Nope. But, an employee of my business took Propecia for a while and quit saying it “worked” but wouldn’t go into details why he quit. Also, my brother-in-law is balding pretty badly and asked his doctor a few years ago about Propecia. His doctor said it wasn’t worth the risk. Luck of the draw he had a doctor who actually knew about Fin.
I wish i stuck to doctors. I am a fool for ordering generic stuff online.
Most docs are clueless about the actual mechanisms of most drugs anyway. Likely if you went to your GP he would have wrote a script for you gladly.
I know a guy who is using it. I also know a guy who used it on and off for over a year. Neither have problems. They dont know I took it.
I would feel so strange knowing someone takes it with no issues at all. I just understand how some men can tolerate the drug when it has proved to be so destructive to my body.
I created this same topic while back. Maybe one of the Mods can merge them together. A couple of friends I know and My brother in law was taking it as well. When I developed major problems, I felt it was my ethical responsibility to tell my sister and him what could happen to him.
I told my sister and she said he quit. I still feel most people who are taking it think they are different than you and they will be fine on it. It’s like the people on the “Hair loss forums”. You try to warn them as a good gesture and many of them attack you. Well at least I don’t have to feel any guilt with his situation.
