DNA studies

To date, have there been any direct DNA comparison studies from an individual pre-propecia, to the same individual post-propecia?

This would be a relatively simple study to conduct on rats. Take the DNA of a group of 10 rats. Then give them propecia for one year, take them off propecia, then compare the DNA of the pre-propecia rat, to the post-propecia rat. This would give us an indicator if there are actually DNA modifications taking place with using this drug. If there aren’t any changes, perhaps this is an avenue of study that we can write off, and look elsewhere.

The Baylor study is looking at this, I believe.

Interesting, hopefully the Baylor study really is looking into this.
It would be nice to know exactly what they are looking at.

The SRD5A2 gene is also somthing I hope they are looking into to. Mutations In this gene are thought to be responsible for 5 alpha reductase defects at birth.

I’m wondering if we suffered some type of mutation to this gene that results in this syndrome
