Thanks for providing a working link Mew, and sorry for reposting the article (it was dated December 2008, so I missed that it was posted here already in October!). Anyway, I checked out the list of “sexual dysfunction”-related articles on PubMed published by the author “Hellstrom WJ”, and the list is impressive! I’m considering contacting him to see if he is intrested in performing some research to find out more about finasteride induced persistent side effects.

Please do… I was also having similar thoughts myself, but you seem to have had success in this area already via your dealings with the Swedish Medical Agency. Keep us posted.

So am I reading this correctly… He proposed that a lack of nitric oxide production in the body after 5ARI use is probably the reason for ED problems!!

So why are we not all taking some daily then… no!??

Boston, that is what I was asking in another forum on here. I have taken nitric oxide before (8 months prior to Propecia use) and I can tell you it definitely gives a pump when working out with weights. I googled nitric oxide and then nitric oxide+prostate and it seems very intriguing. I just bought some at the store today (NO2 Platinum for $70 – expensive), so I’ll keep tabs on how I react to it, aside from the gym pumps.

I am wondering, however, if adding nitric oxide is a way of remedying he problem from the bottom up (NO ->DHT->5ARII), instead of from the top bottom (5ARII -> DHT -> NO).

I have had some luck with L-arginine supplementation, argininie enhances NO production (see my post under Voice’s recovery thread, includes citation) kazman
