Does someone have any experience with diluting propecia (5mg) pills in alcohol. I thought about just buying a bottle of vodka at the convenience store and dissolving the pills as powder. Has anyone done this before or any experience with it?
I try to ween myself of finasterid by tapering. I asked before and someone privately contacted me that tapering might be the better idea.
when it would be that easy, dont you think anybody here on this forum would have done that ? and when it is , its a shame that the foundation does not recommend that or any doctor out there. i mean you could prevent people from ruining their lifes. but i wouldnt give that advice because it could make it even worse. no one knows
yes, you can take very small doses that way… it will dissolve fine in alcohol
But to Milan’s point… I don’t know that anyone really knows whether that is a better or worse idea than just stopping.
Once you get to smaller doses it really may end up making your hormones bounce around even more which could make things worse. Or it could be the best way to do it that would prevent anyone from ever getting PFS… we just don’t know.
No one truly does to my knowledge.
ok maybe stopping cold turkey is the better way afterall. I don’t know the science behind the enzymatic reaction and correct dosage. It does seem to make a difference between 5mg for proscar propecia though.
It really could be that either way is better, we don’t really know yet.
I’m starting to believe if we had something that could consistently reduce DHT by a much smaller amount (say, 20%) that it would help a lot of people. Fin/dut are so powerful it’s tough to reliably do that with them though unfortunately.
