Did you take anything else with finasteride?

Antibiotics, hydrocortisone cream, nizoral, anti histamines, mephedrone (party drug), many units of alcohol, rogaine.

There were many nights where i got stupid drunk while taking fin.

I didn’t take anything with Propecia.

I took nothing else.

Mew?

Ah yes, well if you are referring to ongoing usage of a substance, I’m pretty darn sure I did not.

I did experience an infection in a cut (turned into an abscess) which required antibiotics for treatment, but other than that did not take any other meds.

No not on going, just anything, meds, liquor, rec. drugs, herbs, hormones etc.

I was using

saw palmetto+ flax seed oil

It is essential that people mention antibiotics, if they took them. I quit finasteride and recovered within 3 days a number of times until i took antibiotics.

Given that the only solid recoveries on this forum have involved anti candida regimes and other gut treatment. It certainly makes you wonder.

Thats in direct contrast to your member story. Along with everything you have said; its total rubbish. Your one sick bastard pretending to be sick Joe, just so you have someone to talk to.

Why dont you fuck off?.

Wow

I smoked pot, took Ecstasy, did cocaine, smoked cigarettes, drunk a lot of alcohol heavily while on Finasteride 1mg for a long time (years)… I might have had minor low sexual side effects there but didn’t notice… The only time i did notice a side effect, was when my sex drive / libido was turned into zero. It was when i was not doing any of this anymore… so I don’t think it has any implication on it. At least it did not with me. My side effects came out of the blue, although I did stop working out for a good period of time and started a very bad diet, eating trash food a lot. That might have something to do with it. But i guess this drug reacts differently on every one.

I’m actually pretty anxious to post here because at the time I had done what I thought was proper research–turns out it wasn’t–and everything was supposedly safe–turns out not everything was, or at the very least, not Propecia.

Well, when I was a teenager (probably around the ages of 15 and 19) I went on two different runs of isotretinoin (accutane) for 6 and 5 months apiece, I do believe. The ONLY side effect I suffered was some very mild form of what might’ve been depression…but I chocked it up to dealing with such dry uncomfortable skin, dry lips, and such annoying acne…and it never caused me to consider anything drastic such as suicide or anything else. I only mention this because I’ve read that isotretinoin is a 5-AR inhibitor (I think) yet to my knowledge I was not made aware of this at the time…and I definitely wasn’t made aware of any lasting sexual sides (that didn’t occur for me anyway).

Fastforward a couple years after my second run of isotretinoin and my biggest concern had become my hair thinning and receding. I started on Ketoconazole (for only a couple weeks), a multivitamin, Rogaine, Saw Palmetto, and 50 mg Zinc in June 2010 and Propecia in July 2010. I dropped the Saw Palmetto a short while after I started Propecia because it smelled and tasted just awful and it also seemed a bit redundant to be consuming so many pills for my hair loss but kept on the multivitamin, 50 mg Zinc, Rogaine, and Propecia regimen. The sides first hit me just under two months after I started Propecia and when they didn’t go away in four days I stopped both it, the multivitamin, and the Zinc. I still, to this day, maintain use of Rogaine because it’s safe…supposedly.

I’m sure I drank a little bit during my two-month run of Propecia but if I did it wasn’t very much or very often…maybe a few drinks two or three days each month; I’ve never been much of a drinker. Also, I don’t know if this would have complicated anything but I believe it was the same day I had my wisdom teeth taken out that I stopped my use of Propecia so anything ingested on or shortly after my last dose would probably be of concern. For that surgery they knocked me out with Nitrous Oxide (I believe) and I took Vicodin and Percocet for painkillers. I also used some anti-inflammatories to help.

I believe that’s all.

I am certain most people who took fina for more than a few days like myself all drank during the time. I know I did… And I drank quite abit because due to already common knowledge here fina changes the way alcohol effects you. I probably took a bunch of other muscle building supps too. I didn’t experience the worst side effects till I came off. Once again, people here trying to piece together a treatment when we don’t even know exactly what happened to us yet. Kind of like trying to dismantle a bomb when you don’t even know what kind of bomb it is, or how it works, hoping to disarm it at best, hoping it doesnt blow up in your face at minimum.

What regimes? And what treatments? If you believe this is a cure why have you not tried it? Tell me the meds and protocols used if there is any merit to them I’ll go Mexico timmarrow and pickup the meds myself. Then this fungus being the root problem stuff will at least be cleared up.

Alcohol
Was on spring break the weeks prior to my crash…so obviously was very drunk day and night

AntiBiotics
When I got home I was very sick. After a few days of not getting better I went on an antibiotic. I am 80% sure that ALL of my PFS sides did not begin until I took the antibiotics…

There was a thread about this a while back. I was very surprised on the amount of people who took antibiotics during or prior to their crash…

just thinking about how its possible anti biotics made people WORSE… also read about people on here who got better while on post PFS. following IHP’s recovery on killing some random infection, wonder if it’s possible that while fin was in the body, anti biotics made some random bacteria/virus/whatever even STRONGER and created a antibiotic resistant microbe or something that somehow led to tagging DHT in some PFS auto immune problem.

here’s a random article i quickly found.

I’ve taken saw palmetto prior to propecia. Though it was part of my Swisse Multivitamin. Connection not sure, never had sides before prop.

I also crashed after taking antibiotics. Previously, I had quit finasteride a number of times and recovered from the mild side effects on the drug within days.

i took finasteride foir 5 years, when i took antibiotics i crash

had very minor side effects until i quit propecia and started anti-biotics on the same day. in fact - initially i thought my anxiety attacks were all a side effect of the antibiotics. it does seem that the use of antibiotics really plays a role in this.
