Did you have a child(ren) while taking or after stopping FIN?

Just curious how many guys here had kids while taking or after stopping FIN?

If possible, please inform us if there were any miscarriages or other mishaps.

Please also reply if you had any sperm testing to pinpoint any problems.

I know for sure I saw a guy whose wife had some miscarriages. He had his sperm analyzed and came back low motility.

I had a lot of unprotected sex while on fin and coming off. Nothing hit. I was shooting blanks.

My nightmare began while trying to conceive my first child with my new wife early this year. She got pregnant but then had a miscarriage in July of this year. After the miscarriage was when I began to freak out that maybe the propecia had caused it, since my entire family never had anything like that happen.

My wife and i lost our baby 3 weeks ago. She miss-carried at 9 weeks. It is not know why but the widwife said it could have been anything from a bad egg to poor quality sperm to another reason. Obvisuly i am thinking the poor quality sperm.

My wife and I got pregnant right away after I quit Propecia. Unfortunately, we had a miscarriage. Although you rarely know the cause of a miscarriage, it is hard to assume that Propecia played a role. A month after the miscarriage, we got pregnant again. Although my daughter was born about 10 weeks early, which can be a serious issue, she is quite healthy now (knock on wood). Again, it is hard to pinpoint the cause or to assume that Propecia played a role. We got pregnant naturally both times. The only thing that I can say for sure is that I feel very fortunate to have her. If nothing else, this nightmare of an experience has focused my priorities in life. I am maybe 65 percent of what I was sexually before Propecia, so I am by no means one of the lucky ones who have fully recovered.

Eight (8) Miscarriages, Subsequent Pregnancies (IVF)

I took Fin (have PFS) and have two children. However, along the way my wife did suffer many (8) miscarriages. We did get my sperm thoroughly tested though, and everything passed with flying colors and then some. Docs actually said that they were 100% sure the problem was on my wife’s side and not mine. In the end, via IVF, we have a son and daughter who are 3 years old and normal/healthy in every way. Hope that helps.

I actually had a very healthy son while on propecia. At the time I was experiencing low level sexual dysfunction. But I don’t appear to be suffering as badly as others.

For the record, I just had a baby girl 2.5 years after coming off fin.

I never had my gunk checked despite a requisition for same.

I sincerely hope all of you who want to have a child will have one.

I still have emissions which are watery or borderline dry, so don’t be discouraged.

Thanks guys. It’s a great feeling. This is my 1st and I honestly didnt think it would happen…but it did. My doc told me it doesnt take much “gunk” but I didn’t believe him. Guess he was right.

As much as I would love to have children, I just can’t see it ever happening now. I would only want to father a child as the healthy, normal me that is capable of a real relationship. I doubt I will ever even date again.

Could the inhibition of 5 alpha make it harder for men to produce “y” spermatozoids? What do you think?

sex of a baby is determined by the how alkaline or acidic the sperm/the vagina is. i forget which one is which and which environment needs what, but you can look it up. i wouldn’t be surprised if fin did something to that.
