diagnosis: prostatitis

Last week i’ve done an ultrasound (trans rectum) and the doctor find and area of 3 cm of diameter hypo-icogenous (is that word correct in english??) due to a focal prostatitis…

during the previous 2 external ultrasound nothing strange was noticed… so i suggest to everybody that suspect to have prostatitis to make as soon as possibile a trans rectum ultrasound…

Never heard of this word, tried to look it up but got nothing. Can you please verify the correct terminology/spelling?

How are they going to treat you?

sorry the correct translation from italian to english is: hypo-echogenic…
now i’m waiting to see my urologist and show him the result of the ultrasound…

Is your doctor Dr. Guercini ?

unfurtunately no… but i’d like to have an examination with him, in the future…
