If we turn the table i think we can say that in men with low t presence of depresion are more common than ppl with normal to high t. I think that this is commonly accepted as its stated in broschures for example testogel that low t could be the cause of feeling low or onset of depression. With that beeing said its, wich came about first low t causing deppresion or the other way around? It will be hard finding a study with men who has healthy hormone profiles and no depression and then monitoring for the onset of low t and depression to c which comes first. I tend to think that low t is a cause for depression and not the other way around. However theres a definate connection here.

Cheers

We know low T causes depression. Thats half this site.

But I’ve been pretty depressed before all this, and so maybe my T has always been in the lower range, and so it is not necessarily a hormone problem that is causing all this discomfort I am having in my lower pelvic region, and the sexual side effects.

I personally think its more a serious agitation of the prostate. Its like a diseased prostate. A big case of prostatitis!!

I am still seeing the endocrinologist, but I just think this may be more a swelling and disruption caused condition. Then when the blood and metabolic pathways are disturbed to that region, where the prostate function and testicles are located, this prohibits the body from metabolizing, creating, and balancing all the hormones efficiently for them to work together better. SO its like a double edged sword.
See I have two problems::
-Its the physical discomfort, which usually signifies something is wrong.
-And then the feelings/emotional, mind issues such as libido, and turn-on, depression, which is caused by metabolic pathways not working correctly. This then just exacerbates problems…

Look at this. I believe this. Read the middle of the paragraph about prostatitis and pelvic inflammatory disease.

I think that many of us fin sufferers have symptoms very similar to the general symptoms of prostatitis. However many penile issues that we are experiencing also correlates really well with guys with hormanal issues aswell. I know for a fact i had an inflammed prostate. I was a bike messenger and couldent even sit on a bicycle for a min when my prostate was as worst. However it was never found any bacteria, so my case was probably hormanal prostatits (wich basicly mean they cant find bacteria…) During this period i was on a hormonal rollercoster. Sometimes i was so horny i had to j/off 5 times a day… But i couldent even sit comfortably while doing it due to my prostate :slight_smile: However that lasted only 2 weeks or so after that my prostate issues have gotten better and today are completely resolved (atleast to my knowledge). This all happend bout 1 month off fin. 2 month off my libido crashed completely and basicly thats where i am today. Ive been diagnosed wif borderline low total t and outofrange low free t. I think for me thats where i will focus my current treatment anyways. However i dont think i was a high T kinda guy b4 all of this but probably i had more free t than an 80 year old… atleast i hope so :slight_smile:

Anyways its definetly worth a try for every1 wif prostatits symptoms to atleast try some of the potential cures out there. Its hard to treat some cases of prostatitis even if uve been correctly diagnoses with it so that would explain the difficulty for some of us guys lack of improvements.

All the best, cheers.

Yes, well I’ve heard its often hard to find bacteria even when bacterial prostatitis. Also, like you say, its hard to treat.
There is also Asymptomatic prostatitis, and also calcification buildups or stones, and blockages. Anything is possible when you mess with it like we did.
Btw, low libido is a symptom of prostate blockage and a malfunctioning prostate. You may not feel the pain anymore, because maybe your body has learned to shut it down, but are your erections back to normal, and how about penis size, function, behavior, etc.? When my dick doesn’t respond when I look to a girl’s hot tits, and i feel the tightness and congestion below, it just immediately kills my sex drive.
However after a warm bath, or broccoli, or a shit, if its relaxed, and I see stimulus, and it starts to swell, I feel some nerve impulses that get me excited, and for me this kicks in sex-drive immediately. Basically when I can even feel the slightest penis response this gets me aroused.

Yes i kinda have that feeling too. My erections are good when i am horny. iam just not horny alot :confused:

Do you get ass?? Have you had a girl rubbing up on you lately? Do you have a girlfriend you are attracted to?

Also, are you still having any penile issues? How long did it take for those to go away completely?
