Deadends?

I really do not want to sound negative or with out hope, but it seems that there so many theories and or possible treatment options people are trying or proposing, but are there any real solid leads on a cure? It seems like using hormones like test, clomid, Hcg do not work other than a short term boost. Treating the prostrate seems futile. Thyroid hormones don’t seem to be a solution (which I am currently on). Cortisol, T3, T4, and RT3 replacements don’t work. Some people have tried GHB, raw food diets, and estrogen suppressants that only work temporily. Is there any treatment we can say is abolutely going to work. I know there is a recovery section which I have read a hundred times over to look for an answer but they all seem very skeptical on a solid treatment that will work for everyone.
Are there and solid leads were we should focus? Is this Anti-body theory for real? I know some have talked about the meeting in Italy with some top docs, but say they can not reveal anything at this time. I guess I am just looking for a little hope or light shinning through at the end of this very dark tunnel. Is there anything that is promising? I am just trying to get a little focus or clarity on what avenues to pursue.

Your confusion mirrors my own.

I’m looking into potential gastrointestinal and auto-immune issues right now. With the myriad of ailments that I have, there’s always something to investigate.

If you are speaking of the antibody thread that i started, than yeah its real. The studies posted are enough evidence that a problem such as this could exist.
Obviously its not what awor and his team are looking at, but if nothing shows up there this should be the next cab of the rank.

Fina, I just read your member story. The first thing you can do is take the small steps if you haven’t already:

eating a paleo diet (a raw food diet and fasting have also been reported to give benefits to PFS sufferers)
---- this means eliminating sugars, caffeine, alcohol, and grain or grain-based foods such as bread and pasta
getting enough rest
not overdoing sexual activity or masturbation
moderate exercise

As for further information, have you done any blood tests besides estradil and testosterone? This is your base for determining what, if any, further treatments you could try (at your own risk) before the results of the studies begin coming out and further studies are done.

I think this is why we’re all here right now, to figure out the question you have.

Progesterone cream. As far as I know, no one has tried this.

fina13,
unfortunately, I think there is nothing at the moment which can get us back to normal except for a natural recovery. Of course it could be beneficial when you lead a healthy life (good sleep, good diet etc.). When I started taking things (e.g. Tamoxifen) or when I did prostate massages I only got worse. Now I am at the worst state I have ever been after finasteride and I regret to have taken something and done something. I was lurking a long time before I became a member of the forum because I thought I might recover naturally. Unfortunately, this has not happened.

I guess it is pure luck if people recover naturally - and I guess the majority recovers naturally. However, the forum members are the unlucky people who have some unknown issues (like me).
