Cycling Supplements

Hey Guys,

Quick history - off propecia since about June/09. For months after that, not much improvement so I started trying out vitamins and supplements. Things started to improve when I did that. The beginning of the year until now is sort of a broken record.

I find a combination of vitamins and/or a supplement that works and sometimes I will get to 90% or more even. Then, like I’ve read many times, I develop a tolerance or something.

The last combo that worked so well was GNC triple ginseng in the afternoon and ashwagandha at bedtime. This combo filled out the head of my penis and brought back regular morning erections for about 2 months. Last week, improvement kinda stopped and reversed a bit. Libido didn’t seem as strong and the morning erections were less frequent. I still believe in this combo, but, think that it was my mistake to not take a break and cycle it.

I started to think about adding more supplements and hope that by cycling many, that maybe I avoid the tolerance. I know I have read some guys cycle a bunch of stuff with some success… cdnuts comes to mind.

I have tribulus, ashwagandha, triple ginseng, l’arginine/pycnogenol, tongkat ali, maca and an anti-estrogen blended supp.

Thinking of a 6 day cycle like this:

Day 1 Afternoon - triple ginseng, Bedtime - ashwagandha
Day 2 Aft - tongkat ali, Bed - l’arg/pyc
Day 3 Aft - anti-estro, Bed - nothing
Day 4 Aft - tribulus, Bed - ashwag.
Day 5 Aft - maca, Bed - l’arg/pyc
Day 6 Aft - nothing, Bed - nothing

Do you guys think I could still develop a tolerance with this much variety? …or think I should take the anti-estrogen supp more?

I came down with the flu the last week… but, just before I did, my testicles were raised right up for about 2 days then just dropped and shrunk down. They have since came back almost to the size they were a few weeks ago. I have no idea if the flu caused this or if my estrogen went up or something… if anyone has had that happen and knows why - please share.

If anyone has a bunch of supplements they cycle that seems to avoid tolerance and help, please post it.

I am doing the following:

D1 Tribulus
D2 Maca
D3 Yobimine
D4 HGW
D5 Tongkat
D6 Ginseng
D7 Citruline

Everyday: ZMA, D, C, E, and Tamoxifen

Low does Cialis for blood flow

And have you guys been noticing any improvements so far?

Well just wanted to update this sup thread. I didn’t cycle all of those sups very long at all. I was worried about screwing myself up more, when more than a few times I’ve been at 90%.

Had a couple weeks where it seemed I was pushed back to levels in the 60% range, coupled with increasing bouts of delayed ejaculation. My testicles were raised for a while and I wasn’t sure why.

Anyways, a few weeks ago I gave arginine and pycnogenol another shot, this time higher dosing. The last few weeks have been great with the sexual sides almost completely gone… And those are the only sides that I am still dealing with (other than maybe mild skin issues).
Even the delayed ejaculation is almost gone.

I’ve been taking 2g of arginine + 50mg pycnogenol morning and bedtime. Sometime in the middle I take 1.5g of lysine. Taking two days off per week. Also went back on ZMA 1g every 2nd night.

I’m hoping that since these are just amino acids that this time I don’t develop a tolerance.
Time will tell, I guess.

I stayed on the above cycle for two weeks and yes, I did see dramatic improvements. In fact over the holidays I slipped and stopped and shrinkage was minimal. At the time I was pretty much gorging myself so not sure if all the food/nutrient intake helped? After the holidays I had a big step backwards - major shrinkage while on a three day liquid fast. Following CDNuts advise on reset and I am hoping the setback will reverse. I am back to cycling the supplements and hope to see same improvements. I do think they work to some extent; especially Trib and Tongkat but I know if you take everyday your body will adjust. So the cycling seems best.

I am very intrgued about the L-arginie/Pycnogenol combo noted. I had heard about and taken Arginine with no result at all. Turns out I was at 500 mg. Semms we need a lot more to be effective and ideally along with Pycnogenol which until the above post I has never run across. Argnine is just an amino acid but the Pycno is a bark extract. So there may be side effects/risk - not really sure. In any case, I am going to try the higher dosages listed above to see if there is any effect.

I am starting to believe that many of these supplements do work to some extent - the issue most folks have is either not cycling or taking too a low dose. It probably would be helpful to have one thread listing all mineral/vitamins/supplements and the recommended PFS dosage along with any testimonials by memebers of the forum.

I’m not sure of people in this thread but another poster, cdnuts, seemed to have success cycling supplements but he had many more than this which meant a longer cycling period. Do a search for his posts.
