Crispr tools are progressing faster than lightning. I mean gene editing isn’t anything new, they’ve been working on this stuff for many decades so it’s about time we see a huge breakthrough like this.
If we don’t get the funding, the exact tool we need will be sitting right in front of us without us being able to use it… sooner than you think

Not sure of the exact details, but one of my classmates went on to work with a relative of his who is modifying CRISPR to remove the PCR (amplification) step from counting RNA. This might lead to accuracy of gene expression studies that has never been seen before. Groovy!
