Could this have been my crash?

Hi,

I have been on Propecia for 6 months. First starting at 1mg in August, then switched to .5mg in November and switching back to 1mg in the end of December. When I switched to .5mg, at first I noticed a large increase in libido and side effects seemed to go away. However, they came back again a couple of weeks later. I was noticing hair was still falling out so I went back to 1mg. I am in a new relationship and my side effects were too much to handle so I went off Propecia 1 week ago. I am having major ED and very low libido. I have not felt any change since I stopped propecia 1 week ago.

Could I have suffered a crash when I switched to .5mg? Should I be worried I will be like this forever? Please help as I am in a relationship and am stressing very much about this.

Thank you! I really appreciate any advice.

No one here can say for sure, but knowing what I’ve experienced i’d start taking low dose Cialis daily. Many here believe that doing so may thwart physiological damage to your organ. I’d get a set of the core lab test done also.

The absolute worst thing you can do is stress. That puts a very large toll on your system and does not help its attempts to recover. You may be fine or you may develop PFS and have a long battle ahead of you. It’s very important that you do everything you can to not dwell on that and try to remain as calm as possible. Get some bloodwork done, begin eating healthy immediately, begin working out, and try to remain as positive as you can. It’s going to be very difficult, but you have to force yourself to. There’s nothing you can do about the past. Focus on getting better now. Remember that even if you develop PFS, many people have recovered. It may be a long, hard battle, but getting back to normal is possible. Keep yourself busy and do not think about your situation. I can’t stress enough how much anxiety and stress will only kick your issues into overdrive. You got this. Also stay off this forum for a few months. If you’re still fucked in 3-6 months, THEN come back and come up with a game plan. Until then stay away and do what I told you.

And no alcohol for a few months!

Thanks guys! I went to the urologist, he said my symptoms are from Propecia. He gave me Cialis and took a testosterone test. I will update you guys on my levels. I am still having problems and its been 12 days since I stopped. I am praying it will go away. I appreciate any help or advice.

Thank you!
