Could Epilobium help us?

I read someone talking about Epilobium, to reduce dht AND estradiol. And would increase Testosterone. It is a herbal product and wondered if anyone has any experience on it. It is suppose to help for protrate problems and also sexual function in males???

anyone??

“But why is the Aromatase inhibiting function of Oenothein B so important? The inhibition of DHT increases the conversion of Testosterone into Estrogen with the help of Aromatase. . A decrease in DHT allows free testosterone to be converted to Estrogen because the DHT has been shut off. A 90 % block of DHT increases the free Testosterone by up to 30 %. Estrogen in men itself inhibits the production of gonadotropin-releasing hormone (GnRH), luteinizing hormone (LH) and follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH). As estrogen increases and testosterone decreases many men become prone to gynocomastia, increased body fat and body hair and much lower sex drive. The only way to avoid this is taking an aromatase inhibiter. Oenothein B does provide you with the best of both worlds. A very effective 5-AR and Aromatase inhibition in one product without any side effects.”

Jon, great for guys that want to try this for hairloss but not for guys like us that already experienced problems after DHT inhibition via Finasteride.

I don’t think you’ll find anyone here who ever wants to risk reducing DHT or blocking 5AR again. Best to post that on a hairlossforum.

why would you want to reduce DHT. That is what got us posting on here in the first place. We are loosing our hair, it sucks, but most of us have come to the conclusion that hair loss is the least of our problems

and since we are on the subject, I would say that it would be difficult to find anyone…anywhere that has had a recovery from anything using herbal remedies. I have tryed hundreds if not thousands of dollars worth of herbal remedies and none of them have done anything. They are snake oil with very few exceptions.

I was thinking… 1 this is natural, and 2 not only does it block the conversion of testosterone to dht, but block testosterone to estodial… and this is where OUR PROBLEMS are no???

Jon, just because something is natural doesn’t mean its safe.

Some guys get side effects from Saw Palmetto - and that’s natural. But its mechanism of action is similar to Finasteride in that it inhibits DHT. So in the end, you may get similar side effects.

Secondly, nobody here is taking Finasteride anymore. So there is no need for anyone to take epilobium, since we are against reducing DHT (after we learnt the hard way what blocking it and 5AR-II can do).

Third, not everyone has issues with elevated estrogens in their bloodwork. There is simply no reason for guys like us at this stage to take this product, for what purpose??

Again, this product may work for some guys who haven’t started Finasteride for hairloss, but for the guys on this forum, the damage has been done and there is no reason for us to risk further problems by taking a natural product that might act in a similar way as Finasteride (reducing DHT, even if it may reduce Estradiol at the same time). We want to BOOST DHT, not block it.

Cheers.
