Cortisol management the key?

I could have sworn I saw this - healblog.net/wp-content/uploads/where-to-buy-reese.jpg (pinworm) in my stool this morning. Looked a couple CM too long. But then it seem to just burst? Seems really strange. Since taking finasteride I have always had to run to the toilet in the morning to open my bowels. I though this may be low stomach acid from cortisol. But I do not really expect that doing a parasite cleanse is going to bring my libido back ect.

Interestingly I went to a wedding yesterday and drunk a fair bit. Maybe 8 Drinks over 8 hours. Was not really drunk. Since I woke up this morning I have been tired and cold all day. Needed to stay in bed. And I was thinking about it. I guess I could not really think that clearly. I guess this is what you guys call “brain fog”, this persisted even though I applied 30mg preg in the morning, then another 30mg at about 1:00pm Now it is My temp was like 36.4/.5 most of the day. I felt bad… Just now i started feeing much better, feeling hot even though the outside temp has not gone up. Checked my temp and was at 37.00. I can say i feel very good at this temp… But no libido.

im taking just pregenenolone at the moment - feel great libido wise and mentally

cgj1, please keep us posted on your use with pregenenolne. I wanted to try pregenenolne as well and plan on soon.

Well I think pregnenolone increases my estrogen I noticed it more on the oral. Made me really negative and then took a break and tried trans dermal, same results.

cgj1, you say you feel great mentally and libido, but you still suffer from sexual dysfunction like ED?

Hi guys,

So I got my blood cortisol tested and it was right at the top of the range. My siliva cortisol wasl bottom of the range all day. = High Trans Cortin?

Blood cortisol (the useless one) measures total cortisol while saliva cortisol (the useful one) measures free cortisol.

Right, doctors disregard siliva cortisol test. So I think anyone who getts cortisol tested must get transcortin tested.

I think a fair few of us have a screwed up balance of T/E. E inluences transcortin.

I have developed cystic acne on my butt and back over the last few years. This is solved by taking cortisol, pregnenolone or simply coffee. These things fix my fatigue too. Coffee boosts cortisol.

The question is, why is my free cortisol low (transcortin high)? The main thing that influences seems to be Estrogen.

ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC289587/?page=6

Seems to indicate that higher estrogen results in increased bound and free cortisol.

CONCLUSIONS: We conclude that gender, menstrual cycle phase, and OC use exert important effects on HPA responsiveness to psychosocial stress in healthy subjects. Although men seem to have a stronger hypothalamic drive in response to stressful stimulation than women, differences in salivary-free cortisol levels, at least in part, may be explained by estradiol-induced changes in corticosteroid-binding protein levels. ACTH and cortisol secretion is not affected by OC use per se but the amount of bioavailable unbound cortisol (“free”) is greatly reduced in this group of women after stimulation. Inasmuch as none of these differences between the study groups emerged in total blood cortisol levels, we strongly advocate for the simultaneous measurement of free and total cortisol levels in future studies on HPA functioning.

OC = Oral Contraceptive. So seems to be a real mechanism which would explain panic attacks and so fourth.

sure we had cortisol problens we had a infection and adrenal fatigue…in early stage high and after too low .

i have extremely high lh and dht and extremely low testosterone both total and free, i was wondering can it be due to high cortisol? I have never checked cortisol, but i read on the internet that high cortisol can decrease testosterone. Now my question is high cortisol can involve low testosterone, but how should lh and dht be with high cortisol?

Is this true can high cortisol lower our test levels?

I would imagine that high cortisol has the potential to wreak havoc with other hormones

Intresting my Sodium levels were high prior to taking propecia.

Can any one else test their free cortisol and blood cortisol. My blood has been tested 4 times now. Always good. Free cortisol tested 2 tmes, both times it was bad. Most people here have low temperatures. This means low thyroid or cortisol dosn’t it?

I think it is essential to test both silivary cortisol and blood cortisol.
