Core Body Temperature

Ok so a lot of us are suffering with a reduced core body temperature. For some people this could be a lower functioning thyroid.

I am wondering if one of the benefits of progesterone for some people here is due to its ability to raise the core body temperature.

Did a bit of searching and found this paper:

Interesting comments at the end about a derivative of DHEA called 7-keto-DHEA that supposedly doesn’t convert to testosterone or estrogen. Apparently 7-keto-DHEA can increase the core body temperature so might be worth looking into.

I know my temperature sensitivity is much worse now than it used to be. As soon as it gets colder my genital shrinkage gets worse. I am thinking of trying this to see if my temperature resistance can get back to where it was before.

Would like to hear from anyone else who might have tried this too, or any other thoughts on raising body temperature/metabolism.

Very first symptom while still on the drug was a sudden intolerance of cold weather. I always used to sleep with the windows open, even in winter, but then found myself constantly with the heater on or in heavy coats.

This has subsided since - but my core temperature now fluctuates between 36.3 to 36.5, which I think is below optimum.

I’ve tried large doses of T3 (thyroid replacment) but haven’t been able to induce a greater increase.

I had all the body temperature / extreme exhaustion issues when I first quit the drug. My hands, feet, and dick were constantly freezing. I believe it very likely WAS thyroid related, but it is a symptom of the hormonal tornado going on in your body. It goes away if you wait long enough,
