Convo's I should have with Dr. Jacobs about these results before treatment?

My fear is that TRT will be recommended and I will get worse sides than I already have, as so many others have reported with TRT.
Its been about 90 days off Dutasteride and not seeing any natural improvements as of yet. I just started taking Vit b supp, Vit D3, Zinc, and Vit E.

I appreciate any input. Thanks!

Yes, that sounds very likely to me.

Looks to me like your cortisol is much higher than your thyroid hormones. Keep in mind that thyroid hormones and cortisol must be balanced. Your high progesterone suggests very high cortisol, although a saliva x 4 test would help confirm that. On the other hand, your T4 and T3 are not as high. Your high TSH seems to me like your brain is trying to tell your thyroid to keep up with the production of T4, but your thyroid really can’t.

Dr. Jacobs has said to me that he hasn’t run into anyone who is completely “androgen resistant”. But, I havn’t met anyone on this board who has improved via TRT (myself included) with even that one instance where the person was over 4000. Brilliant doctor and great guy but I’m confused about this. Shippen would be more likely to try you on clomid/hcg first.

You’re 3 adiol G is off the chart compared to the rest of us here. I’d take that as a good sign maybe. Alot of us here are in the 200-300 range.

Thanks guys, I really appreciate the info. He does seem brilliant, but I too have my doubts about TRT. I just feel like I should wait before trying it.

Boston are you any worse from trying TRT? I hope the high 3 adiol G is a good thing, but as of now, high 3 adiol G hasn’t helped with my sides at all.

Should I try and work on this or continue to see if it will work itself out?

Here are some other labs from the last 3 months. I have been hoping to spot some kind of trend, it seems like once one hormone goes into range another 2 go out.

Let me know if anything stands out:

My T dropped nealy 400 in a matter of 11 days, but seems to have leveled off. DHT took some time but is now back in the normal range. Estradiol dropped nicely on its own over the course of the last 3 months. Prolactin, Progesterone, and TSH have since continued to rise. And my prolactin is through the roof right now.

Sides are not showing any improvement as of yet, and are the worst they’ve been in the last 5 years. 0 libido and started to see shrinkage, so I started up the vitamins this past Monday. So far so good. If you see anything in terms of trends, good or bad or have any recommendations please give me a shout.

Thanks all!
