Biogaia Gastrus fucked me up for like a week. Gave me extreme insomnia and also hives. Thankfully I fully recovered.
This is going to be trite but since developing dysphagia, I’ve been eating tons of vegetables and fruit blended with a very good blender, a Vitamix. I am drinking like 4 cups of veggies and 4 cups of fruit per day. It keeps me pretty regular. Some of it goes straight to my lungs too but that’s another story.
I think it’s not just from all the extra fiber, but all the different kinds of plants and fruits provide something much more natural, diverse, and healthier to the microbiome than probiotics can offer.
