If I was in the U.S. I’d join you outside Merck’s headquarters. Yeah, I meant voting. An almost impossible task I appreciate, but change has to start somewhere.
all the people i know (around my age) are saving up for their future, thanks to pfs i am in debt, also spending big portion of what i earn on different protocols and treatments(up to 60%) this is how fair US judiciary and FDA is, while ken fraizer is praised as hero cause he walked out of TRUMP’s counselor circle…
Meanwhile, Merck’s stock price continues to soar. Smh… so sad
yup and family thinks uve gone crazy or too lazy to live a normal life…
Sometimes I share the same enthusiasm as you do in terms of organizing something, then I remember that M is a 160 Billion dollar company. The blunt truth is that nobody stands a chance in court. All that will happen (if you’re even lucky enough) is a measily settlement. I’ve chosen to instead focus my energy on the various brokers who are out there marketing Fin all over the internet. I’ve had some success filing complaints with Instagram and Facebook to remove advertisements from the company “Keeps” which is where I bought into the idea in the first place. They market the drug on their website the same way Merck labels it, and are by default faslifying the severity of the side effects. They make the drug way too accessible and advertise it as the best and easiest solution for hair loss. It may be the most successful and effective, but at what cost. Rome wasn’t built in a day, Merck won’t just come to some blatant and magical realization that their drug fucks people up. It will be a very, very long process to get them to stop selling this shit.
I doubt anything is going to change until some Big wig gets fucked over by the drug
If it was someone of high profile then that would do the job they would cry into their pillow every night and tell the world about these dreadful persistent side effects but for us normal folk just get the fucking middle finger .
But there have been bigwigs affected. Robin Williams, Ashton Kutcher, Elon Musk, Ariana Grandes bf (forgot his name, the dude from SNL), and now Justin Bieber. I can name off a few more, but the tragic truth is nobody has yet attributed the cause of their suffering to Finasteride. High profile doctors are idiots too and they fail to properly identify and connect the dots when they happen
It’s all too easy for the doctors to blame other drugs or alcohol and they always throw in the depression card without even looking at work drove them into depression
Has anyone tried to reach out to friends and family of Robin Williams?
Same with the other folks you mentioned. They can’t all be too foolish to realize the truth of the matter.
This also might be a case of shame keeping them from going public with their issues.
Yep that’s a strong point
Not everyone wants to talk about what has happened to them and how it all came about lets be honest fame from being an idol hair loss and impotence are not really selling points …
We live in a world of vanity with perfect hair perfect bright white teeth and tattoos it’s all bullshit like this that sets us off on the road to self destruction . Why can’t we just be Normal with normal expectations of ourselves and others.
How do you know these people had/have pfs?
I don’t know that. All I said was that they consumed Finasteride
Got it. You said they “have been affected” and they they haven’t attributed it to the cause of their suffering, which is more than just saying they took the drug. Chances are (statically speaking) Propecia isn’t the cause of their suffering.
Maybe you’re right, but just by conducting some simple google image searches, one thing they all have in common is that they look sick. Droopey eyes, straw like hair, muscle loss. It’s a known fact that Elan Musk suffers from severe Insomnia. So much so that some say his company has suffered as a result. You can sort of put some pieces together.
I see now some photos of Avicii, the famous swedish dj died this year due to stress and anxiety.
He was going bald. Physical changes are incredible. He was clearly sick. Insane muscle wasting and horrible face condition.
Official statement declared alcohol abuse, pancreatitis and too much stress and anxiety due to work.
I scrolled through a lot of pictures of Elon Musk before I found one where he didn’t look like he was sleep deprived.
If only he wanted to fund medical studies.
He is running two billion dollar companies, of course he is sleep deprived. If you read his book, he has been sleep deprived since college (surely was not taking propecia). He is a machine and maybe the stress is getting to him. Drawing a parallel between him looking tired in pictures and him having PFS is a stretch IMO.
Why is it difficult for you to consider the possibility that celebrities have PFS? They bleed red just like we do. Elon had hair transplant surgery and was prescribed Fin at this time (2012). 6 years on Fin is more than enough time to turn you into a theoretical tranny (sorry if that offends anyone but its true)
Not difficult to consider the possibility, but chances are it’s not propecia (statistically speaking). This condition is extremely rare, so the likelyhood that every stressed or depressed celebrity who has taken the drug suffers from PFS doesn’t make sense. Do you think Elon could successfully run two companies, raise kids, and start two more companies all while having PFS? Most of us are struggling with daily activities, and he is literally killing it at life. Doubt he has PFS.
The line between having PFS and not having it can be easily blurred. I’m still not convinced that it’s that black and white. I don’t consider myself to have PFS but that doesn’t mean I wasn’t affected. I don’t mean to drag this on but if you listen to his interviews from years ago, and listen to them now - theres a stark contrast in his language motor skills and keen sharpness that he was previously known for. Mind you, he’s still on the drug as far as I know, I think Joe Rogan was talking about it on a blog.
