Cipro prescribed for 10 days and saw palmetto for 2 months

Hi there,

This is my first post regarding prostatitis because over the last year I just thought I had to go to the toilet more often because i was drinking more water. Last month I went to see an urologist and got my Prostate tesded (echo and x-ray) and apparently it is slightly bigger that it should be, although everything is in a range of normality (sounds very familiar to me). Regardless any look at my penis, the urologist prescribed me cipro just for 10 days (not large inflamation so antibiotics just for a few days) and Saw Palmetto for 2 months. Also some vits (androvit is its name here in Spain), which is basically placebo to make you feel you are getting healthy or whatever.

I just wanted to get some feedback before starting another stupid treament to get over another finas side effect but i don´t wanna mess around again.

In my case, I don´t have any pain in my testicles or around my penis but really have to go to urinate very ofter and quite a bit weak stream.

Besides I believe this prost issue is affecting my erections, ehich are progresively weaker so the ED is almost completed.

Do not take Saw Palmetto, it is a dual 5AR inhibitor.

Thanks Mew, im aware of that but i wanted to post the full treatment.

Actually, I´d really appreciate any comments on possible alternative treatment for this necessity to go to the toilet so frecuently and urinate so low quantity. I was told that prostatitis may be also related with ED problems… so i might kill 2 birds with 1 stone.

I am going for the broccoli treatment next week as it is always better starting natural solutions rather than chemical.

Visit this guy… you are in Europe… .thank me later.

Thanks toad, very useful as usual. I have not started the prescribed treatment yet as I do not want to mess around again without being at least slightly sure that it may work in somehow. In my case, I wouldn´t say my prostatitis is painful. My problem is basically that i urinate very often and normally a low quantity with weak steam… perhaps a slightly uncomfortable sensation when i get a semi erection.

I have seen some posts here that recommend Saw Palmetto to treat Prostate problems. Im not obviously fond of this med either, but if i want to follow any treatment the doctor will disagree that i follow just a part of his indications.

By the way, I am on the broccoli treatment and after half procedure no improvement at all so far.

Sadly my penis is like a soft sausage, or chewing gum. This is pathetic, i never get a decent hard on even i concentrate like hell. Actually, when i have an orgasm, i hardly have an erection or, if i have it, it lasts 30 seconds the longest.

I am having an appointment with an special urologist medical group next week. This is the best in my city, i have been told, so hopefully they will test my prostate and everything properly. I can´t believe that doctos here are not deeply aware of this condition. It is like that the only person fucked by this crap in this city is me.

Dude a flight to greece for you is dirt cheap, why not just fly to see this guy… I dont understand this…Not to have the whole procedure, but just for him to do the necessary tests…Hes light years ahead of the field.

Well, i want to run out of my options in Spain first. That doctor sounds very promising, but i understood that solonik was having severe prostatitis problems and pain so he had to look for a very qualified doctor. This is not my situation. Anyway i will try to get that test here and see how everything goes before that visit to Greece.

As you know not all our sides seem to come due to a prostate malfunction so I don´t think that greek doctor will sort out my problems straight away just because someone was successful with him.

On the other hand, it is hard to believe that just ONE MAN can have the cure for our problems, whatever they are and whoever he is. I am sure that if i can get a good urologist here, he will able to prescribe a similar treatment/medical procedure.

Thank for your help, though.
