After about 4 months on 1mg Proscar daily I’ve been having bad side-effects including:

Weak erections , especially at the base.
Penis looks and feels smaller.
Testicular pain and tingling at the tip of the penis.
Reduced volume of ejaculate.
Frequent urination.
Increase in Libido.

I know I need to do something , but seriously I honestly can’t lose my hair. What can I do? I’m only 19 I really don’t need these problems. Will a decrease in Finasteride intake result in less intense side-effects?

I need help with this guys , it isn’t fair at 19! I shouldn’t have to chose between my hair or my penis. Please help…

Get off the drug if you are having problems and see if they resolve.

This site is not a hairloss forum and nobody cares about hair here anymore, this forum is for guys that quit the drug and continue to have problems.

Health is far more important than hair and everyone here will tell you to get off the drug. There are other alternatives for hairloss you can try that dont involve systemic 5AR2 surpression, visit hairloss sites for more info.

A decrease in Fin will likely not result in a decrease in side effects since Fin has a near flat-dose response rate, meaning 0.2mg surpresses almost as much as 5mg:

If you decide to continue taking the drug, that is your choice but if so please do not bother to post here unless you actually quit (and should you not recover to your former Pre-Fin state within weeks or months).

In the scheme of things, is hair really worth your health?? I’m 18, and I have chronic dry eye due to this stough. please get off of it while you can. It sucks!!
