The pregnenolone loading up may not have done anything, I used life flo transdermal and micronized tabs.
I am onto stage 3 now, having done stage 2 quite sloppily because I do not have T4 alone. Instead of following the regimen set out in stage 3 I am just going to take 3 tabs of armour thyroid.
Unfortunately I am in debt so I cannot afford to try this again.
If anyone wishes to boost there metabolism, that exact regimen was set out by Chillin over on Crisler’s forum. Also, anyone considering thyroid treatment should read this:
If you are stuck in a low-cortisol situation (i.e., sleepiness, fatigue, no motivation, weakness), then you may need more than that. For example, during the transition from phase 2 to phase 3, I ended up with low cortisol symptoms. To get out of the hole, I had to take 500 mg transdermal pregnenolone 3 times a day. After a week on this regimen, I could finally feel high cortisol symptoms and I could back off most of the pregnenolone. Note that 1500 mg TD per day is much more than what you are taking.
At some point, I also tried to switch to micronized rather than TD for practical reasons. But I think that, unfortunately, TD is the way to go.
Also, I have to disagree with chilln on the need of the labs. I think labs can shed light on what’s wrong and can help you connect symptoms to lack of (or excess of) hormones.
Have supplemented pregnenolone with interval training, and noticed no particular improvement compared to interval training alone. Endurance efforts (e.g. cardio exercise below the anaerobic limit) for periods of longer than 45 minutes invariably lead to exhaustion lasting several days.
Not sure I understand what you mean with skin issues.
If you mean skin problems arising from rubbing a lot of pregnenolone on my skin, no, I have no issues.
If you mean penile tissue issues, such as wrinkles and shrinkage, I had them very very bad before the treatment and while on pregnenolone only. Now, they are better, although a little fluctuating.
I started with life-flo TD pregnenolone, but I soon realized that it is very inconvenient (and damn expensive) for the dosages I need – currently, around 400-500 mg a day. So, I make my own pregnenolone gel by mixing pregnenolone powder and aloe vera gel. I don’t think you can get the powder from the UK though. Schedule and quantities depend on need. I’m taking the following daily:
-50 mcg T4
-20-35 mcg slow release T3
-400-500 mg transdermal pregnenolone
-40-100 mg transdermal progesterone
-hydrocortisone only when needed
-maca and TestoPlex
