golf, I would just like to comment on the above (and thanks for posting it, have not read chillin in awhile) - that I’ve gotten very brief periods of relief of some of the sexual symptoms through interval training (e.g. sprinting above the anaerobic threshold) - something that definitely raises resting metabolic rate. Problem is even interval training two or three times a week, with minimum 48 hour recovery, leads to adrenal exhaustion within 10 days at least in my case.
Had always attributed this effect to the increase in growth hormone that one can achieve through interval training, but what chillin postulates does make some sense. It may be a combination of these two factors.
