I am new to the site and have been experiencing severe erectile issues in the past year. I was taking a generic finesteride prescibed by a doctor who specializes in hair transplantation. I began taking the medication in 2000. I recently switched to Proscar through another hair loss doc because the monthly cost was much less. 9 years i have taken this medication
I have suffered from serious bouts of depression for years. Suicidal thoughts, loss of interest etc.
My sex drive is low, the worst thing that has happened to me is a change in the shape of my erection. Its has developed a slight downward curve oor hook that feels very uncomfortable. Its an awful feeling of inadequacy. The size has changed as well, smaller and not very firm. Its become useless. Ejaculation is non existent and has been for some time. When I do ejaculate their is slight burning sensation. I should have known something was wrong when I began to notice a reduction in fluids. Losing my hair was also tough to handle so I took these meds happily. NOBODY ever told me I could be poisoning my body and destroying my sex life. I have suffered from many problems that could be related to this medication. IS there anyone out there who has suffered changes to their bodies as I have.
I know this is a subject that is not easy to talk about, but I am at a crossroads in my life. This is slowly destroying me, so I could use any input from anyone who may be suffering a similar problem.
