Is this in any way linked to finasteride?

Who knows…Could be…The guy is an absolute scumbag! He made a lot of money off this drug in lieu of bonuses and stock options.

Merck reports earnings this week…I would pay particular attention on the revenues they received from Propecia…

Scumbags! Senate should be holding hearings on these fools like they are doing with Goldman and Sachs.

I doubt it. I still believe someday, we will have our day in court against these scum bags.

The fact they they scowl around this website serves as proof to me they know what they have done. It’s like the convict looking over his shoulder even though he hasn’t been caught. He can’t stop going back to the crime scene to see how the investigation is going.

Does anyone know what the reported revenues from Propecia/Proscar were?

According to merck.com/finance/annualrepo … m_10-k.pdf

2009 - Propecia $440.3 million
2009 - Proscar $290.9 million

It will go down significantly once the FORMAL study is done.

That’s surprising and says it all, propecia gets them even more $$$$ than proscar which is used by many more men, no wonder they sweep this under the carpet.

Looks like sales have been increasing in the report? I thought I heard that they had been going down. Unbelieveable.

You have to give them a lot of credit on their marketing of this drug. They got me for sure. I even found this forum while doing my research before starting the drug and chose to believe the ‘scientific’ data and ‘facts’ about the drug that they put out.

Unfortunatley I did not find the faqs section on this forum a year ago as it is not in bolded-large font-different color as it should be. I just read a bunch of posts and thought it was a bunch of weird guys with pre existing conditions that were blaming the drug. It doesn’t matter now as there are the sister websites which have all the bloody facts now. If those would have been there last year I would have been saved.

Never did I see the word ‘permanent’ in all the research I did. Hopefully now with the study etc. and the word ‘permanent’ flying around, sales will go down.

There seems to be a lot of guys who read this site while on or even before taking the drug and ignored it, I don’t really understand this, I would never have touched the stuff. I discovered it when I had bad sides and couldn’t believe it but it was too late for me. I just assumed things would return to normal not that things would get much much worse AFTER I stopped.

People tend to justify things when they are adamant on taking the medication for hair loss and overlook warning signs. Given the documented “medical” information provided by Merck, it can be very convincing that it will be okay. That’s obviously not the case
