Carbs and Muscle/Bone Development

Since quitting the poison, the only symptoms that have consistently gotten better have been muscle and bone loss. My skeleton was severely depleted around crash, and I had little to no useful muscle. I’ve gained a solid amount of muscle back despite no training, and my skeleton has beefed up quite a bit. The alleviation of both symptoms seems to have accelerated greatly over the last 45 days or so, exactly coinciding with a huge spike in carb intake. I eat as many as 650g of carbs in a day, with no significant water or fat gain. Diet consists strictly of the following: lean fish, beans, lentils, gluten free pasta, brown rice, broccoli and other greens, between 3500 and 5000 calories per day.

I am considering switching to a strict paleo diet though, because after a fair amount of research over the past few days, it seems to have androgenic effects. I can get strong erections and have strong orgasms, but my libido is not very good at all and my virility is very volatile; hence the appeal of an androgenic diet. I also feel like my serotonin is through the roof because of having gone so ape shit on carbs lately…I feel good, but not very motivated, and just generally not virile enough, which I think makes sense if neurotransmitter balance is tipped too much towards serotonin.

Does anyone have any useful experience/knowledge here, specifically with respect to bone maintenance/gains on a paleo diet? It’s easy to say ‘just switch and see how it works out’, which is probably good advice, but when you wake up every morning with a noticeably more masculine facial structure than you had just the day before (more prominent orbital, cheekbone, jaw, etc.), you tend not to want to interrupt something that may be crucial to its continued improvement. Around crash, my facial bone structure was extremely depleted and it’s been very encouraging to see it get so much better.
