As with most things fin has even taken my love for food. I don’t think I’ve seen this discussed on the forum but I was wondering if I’m alone in this? I’m not depressed (no matter how many people tell me I am) but I gunuinely dont get the same taste or enjoyment from food, everything just tastes really bland. I’m told this is caused by low levels of dopamine? Similarly I used to love drinking tea (british), now I find when I drink tea I can taste the leaves or something, its like Im drinking green tea.

I know exactly what you mean…i was a compulsive eater…i dont even look at food anymore.!

No I haven’t meantioned it to him. As far as I’m aware it is a common symptom of depression so I don’t want to give him more reason for him to this all my symptoms are depression related.
I definitely don’t have the same sense of smell anymore either.
My desire for food is pretty much gone. I do however taste my food and like it. I can still smell fine as well. This drug has taken much from me but taste and smell has been retained, thank god for something.
During my crash I had zero hunger, zero thirst and zero appetite but most of those have now improved but still subdued compared to pre fin
yes i had this too but now its improved. thats why im thinking about its hypothalamus problem becasue it controls apetite.
Maybe I’m starting to be boring by mentioning water fasting again but it can improve both tasting and smelling a lot. It made my tasting much “sharper”. After fasting I don’t anymore like some of the sweets I previously consumed as I feel them to be too sugary. I really enjoy 90% dark chocolate and previously even 60% dark was big question for me. I allow myself to eat junk food and fast food 1-2 times a week but I simply don’t like the taste most of my originally loved junks especially the fried ones that have strange bad oily taste in some cases so I simply avoid them. As a result I usually eat pizza (from a nice italian restaurant) and vegan subway sandwiches as junk (subway is very good quality here but a bit expensive at the same time).
